What is the allowable weight limit for this strap? Its says both 4,500 and 9,000lbs.

The Erickson Retractable Tow Strap # EM77JR has a safe working load rating of 4,500lbs. This is the maximum weight for the vehicle or equipment you are towing. The 9,000lb rating is the break strength. This is the weight capacity the strap will break at.

We do offer the Erickson Tow Strap w/ Reinforced Loop Ends # EM59705 which is rated for 10,000lbs safe working load. This is what you will need if you need to pull a 9,000lb vehicle or equipment.
