Is There a Minimum Shackle Diameter for 10K Erickson Tow Strap w/ Reinforced Loop Ends
Updated 12/19/2022 | Published 12/18/2022 >
Question:
Hello, I have the Erickson Item # EM59705 tow strap. What is the minimum recommended size of shackle to use with this for towing/recovery?

Expert Reply:
The Erickson Tow Strap w/ Reinforced Loop Ends # EM59705 is a 4" wide strap and the looped ends are a bit smaller. Since this is also a fabric it is maneuverable as well so there isn't necessarily a minimum recommended size. From what I'm seeing most tow hooks rated for 10,000 lbs have at least a 2" loop which should work just fine for this strap.
Attached is a review video for you to check out.
