2001 Dodge Durango - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Dodge Durango's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

Avoid tapping into your towed vehicle's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:
Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

Good light set. Works perfectly and has held up well.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Everything was delivered on time and worked perfectly. This solved my concerns about towing my car with my RV with a car dolly.

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

by:

lights look fine....

is far better than I expected....very nice. I should have gotten this sooner!!!

  • Base Plates, Wiring, Safety Cables, Braking System to Flat Tow a 1994 Chevy 1500
We do have several options of base plates available as long as your 1994 Chevy pickup is not a 1 ton or diesel. A 1500 means that it is a half ton so as long as it is not a diesel, there are base plates available. There is another important measurement to take to determine the correct base plates. Under the front of the truck, on the outside of the frame rail look for holes on the side of frame, and an elongated hole underneath. Measure the distance from the lowest threaded hole on the...

  • Supplemental Braking System for a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer Towed by an American Tradition Motorhome
First, you will need a seat adapter. You will need part # RM-88181. If your motorhome has a Spartan Chassis, you will need to add an air spring assist tank also known as a ping tank, from Spartan. If fuses have to be removed for the vehicle to be towed (check owners manual on towing procedures) then just make sure that the removal of the fuses does not remove power to or affect operation of the BrakeMaster system. Once ready to tow and all adjustments have been made (for example fuses...

  • Can Draw-Tite Base Plates Be Moved From a 2006 Saturn Ion to a 1996 Geo Tracker
I know that Draw-Tite used to offer a car-mounted tow bar, which used base plates that were bolted directly to the vehicle. Is this the tow bar style you have? If so, this tow bar uses universal brackets, so you would be able to move the brackets from one vehicle to another. Our part # 63180 is basically the new version of this tow bar. Be aware that the # 63180 tow bar is rated for towing speeds up to 45 MPH only. I would recommend inspecting the base plates and making sure they are still...
