Keeping tools, camping gear, or groceries out of sight and out of reach is simple with the RetraxONE XR. The polycarbonate cover locks in any position along the rails, letting you secure part of the bed while hauling tall items at the same time. The flat, concealed locking handle sits flush and keeps dirt and moisture out of the mechanism. When closed and latched with your tailgate locked, it offers strong theft deterrence compared to soft covers that can be cut or pried up.

This cover glides open and closed with sealed ball-bearing rollers—no straps, snaps, or Velcro to fight with. It doesn’t rely on springs or hinges that can freeze or wear out, and it never needs lubrication. You can guide it open from either side using the pop-up handle. When retracted, it rolls neatly into a compact canister with a spiral track system that keeps the slats from rubbing together and reduces wear.

The one-piece Lexan polycarbonate design is reinforced with 5/8" thick aluminum I-beams spaced every 4-3/4", giving it a 200-lb evenly distributed weight capacity. It handles temperatures from -50° to 200°F without cracking, swelling, or fading. The matte black finish is scratch resistant and UV protected, and weather stripping and foam seals keep out water, snow, and dust so your cargo stays dry.

The built-in Trax Rail System lets you mount most T-slot accessories such as ladder racks and crossbars (sold separately) from Yakima, Thule, and Rhino Rack. That means you can haul bikes, kayaks, or construction gear above your bed while still being able to open and close the retractable cover underneath. The canister’s angled bottom keeps bed space open for longer cargo.

Side rails sit just 1" above the bed for a streamlined appearance that complements the truck’s lines and works well even with many fifth-wheel hitches. The no-drill clamp-on design makes installation straightforward—attach the preassembled canister and rails, square them up, and route the drain tubes through factory holes to keep water moving out of the bed.

One year in and I have no problems with this cover. Still opens and closes smoothly. It does take up more room than I was expecting but its not something that would keep me from buying it again. I have added the Yakima rack to it and it all works great.

Terrific product. Ive been very pleased. The only only improvement I can suggest, improve the drainage hose attachment fittings. They come loose too easily.

Glad to hear it looks great, Shelli! I have had a similar cover on my Silverado since 2018 and the retractable covers are the way to go, at least in my opinion. I haven't any issues with the canister making loading up the bed with stuff cause any problems and I don't think you will either. ^___^ What are you typically keeping in your bed? I always have a milk crate with survival type stuff in it, just in case!
