Ladder Rack and Tonneau Cover That Fit a 2018 Toyota Tacoma with 6 Foot Bed

There is one way to add the combination of a ladder rack and tonneau cover on your 2018 Toyota Tacoma with a 6 foot bed, though it would only be able to hold a maximum of 300 lbs; if you needed it to hold 600 lbs you would have to get a ladder rack alone without the tonneau. The reason is because the mounting of a tonneau and ladder rack are going to interfere with each other, installing on the side rails. The exception is a cover from Retrax and a Yakima rack, as they have worked together to provide an option. Here is what you will need for your Tacoma:

One of the following tonneau covers:

- RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover with Trax Rails - Retractable - Lexan # RTT-60852
- PowertraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover with Trax Rails - Retractable - Lexan # RTT-70852
- RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover with Trax Rails - Retractable - Aluminum # RTT-80852
- PowertraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover with Trax Rails - Powered - Retractable - Aluminum # RTT-90852

To add a rack to the Trax rails on these covers you will need the following:

- Tonneau Cover Adapter Kit for Yakima OverHaul HD and OutPost HD Truck Bed Ladder Racks # Y01155 (this adapter is what limits the rack to 300 lbs capacity)
- Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack Uprights # Y01151 OR Yakima OutPost HD Overland Truck Bed Rack Uprights # Y01152 (the former gives you an adjustable rack while the latter will give you a fixed rack)
- Yakima HD Crossbars - 68" # Y01158

Otherwise, if you do have to carry 600 lbs or more, the only way to do with a 2018 Toyota Tacoma with a 6 foot bed (and assuming you do have the Deck Rail System) is to install the Thule TracRac TracONE Ladder Rack for Toyota Tacoma # TH27000XT-XK4 (Silver) or # # TH27000XTB-XK4B (Black) which has an 800 lb capacity.
