Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Viair 12 Volt Plug-N-Play 200 PSI Portable Air Compressor with the Battery Clamps. Now this is a 12 volt compact air compressor. Comes with a 1 1/2 gallon tank. Gives you a great combination of size and capability.
The weight on this is only about 23 pounds. Now this will let you air up your vehicle tires, your bike tires, or even other inflatables as needed using this portable air compressor with the 1 1/2 gallon tank. Now the compressor itself, which is on this side, this will charge your tank up to 200 PSI, and then you can use the dial regulator right here to limit the output to more specific inflation needs. The tank manifold right up here will carry the dual analog gauges and just wanted to tilt them to show you the gauges. They are analog gauges.
Makes it very simple to monitor and manage the tank pressure. The left side has the safety valve. Here's the left side. There's your safety valve right there. And the tank pressure gauge right there.
And on the right side, this right-side gauge will sit above that output pressure adjuster we showed you, and it shows the active regulated hose pressure. On this end right here, you can see it uses a standard 1/4 inch quick connect coupler which is standard for the air hoses. We do sell those separately in our website. That does not come with an air hose. Now, for lower volume and pressure-limited inflatables, you can adjust that output from 0 to 200 PSI.
Now Viair does recommend using the full 200 PSI for vehicle tires or high-volume inflatables. Now we mentioned the battery clamps. The battery clamps right here, these are used to connect to your vehicle battery and attaches to the compressor using this standard SAE 2-pin cable. Now the cable itself is 58 inches long. It's attached to the compressor right over here, and it carries a 30 amp blade fuse right here in it to protect it and the 2-pin connector. Now I did want to demonstrate the sound of this when we turn it on to see what you think, how loud it is. I don't think it's really that loud, but we're gonna hook it up to some 12 volt power. So we're gonna get our battery clamps, and we're gonna hook them up. (clamps clicking) Okay, we got 'em hooked up to some 12 volt power. So what I'm gonna do now is go ahead and turn that on. (compressor rumbling) And you can hear, with this running, it's not really that loud. It's not loud at all. You can still hear me talking. Turn it off. And then we turn it back on. (compressor rumbling) Hasn't been on for long; nice and warm. Go ahead and disconnect it. Now the compressor, it features the on and off switch right over here. This on and off switch has a nice cover on it to keep it protected from the elements. And on the other end, right over here, it has a replaceable air filter. It is mounted on this nice sturdy steel frame. Has a foam grip on the handle, make it easy to pick up. And on the very bottom it has rubber feet to keep it from vibrating all around. It'll keep it in one place. Voltage on this again is 12 volts. Maximum amp draw is 23 amps. The tank, we mentioned, is 1 1/2 gallons. Maximum air pressure again is 200 PSI. Maximum air flow is 2.62 cubic feet per minute. Now, on the compressor itself, it is a permanent magnetic compressor motor. So the duty cycle, 100% at 100 PSI and 55% at 200 PSI. And the last thing is the size of this unit. The overall width; the widest point is 14 inches wide, 14 inches long, and about 12 inches tall. And if you notice right back here, they have these two pins that stick out, and what that's for is you can actually wind this cable around there, and it'll keep it stored in place so it doesn't just hang out. But that should do it for the review on this Viair 12 Volt Plug-N-Play 200 PSI Portable Air Compressor with the Battery Clamps.
