    • Mounts inside existing factory handle mechanism, so it resists tampering
  • Installs easily

Frustrate tailgate thieves and cargo bandits with this power tailgate lock. Use the Pop & Lock with your truck-bed cover or camper shell whenever you need to lock up valuables in your truck bed.

This sturdy, stainless steel lock resists corrosion and is custom fit to your vehicle. The Pop & Lock mounts permanently inside your truck's tailgate handle, so thieving varmints can't pop it out. The lock is installed using basic tools - no welding or drilling is necessary. And the tailgate lock wires directly into your powered lock system using quick splice connectors. You activate the Pop & Lock using your keyless remote - lock your truck doors, and you lock your tailgate. No more fumbling for keys or going back to make sure you locked up. Just hit your door-lock button and your tailgate is secure.

A new tailgate can cost hundreds - this powered lock saves you the cost and aggravation of replacing a stolen tailgate.

  • What Wires Are Used When Installing Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock On 2015 Ford F-250
Per the installation instructions for the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock, part # PAL8250 on Ford Trucks 2009 and up, you would need to locate the Grey/with a Brown (tan) stripe wire and the Light Blue/with Green stripe wire on the drivers side. If the truck has 2 doors or access cab then the wire will be in either side kick panel. If the truck is a true 4 door (crew cab) then the wires can be located in the step plate. For the passenger side locate the Grey/with a Brown (tan) stripe wire...

  • Tailgate Lock for 2015 Ford F-250 Super Duty
The Conversion Kit # PAL8525 you referenced would only be used to add power to an existing Pop & Lock. To add a tailgate lock to your 2015 Ford F-250 it will need to have an 8' bed, and to add a powered lock you need to have the factory power locks on your truck. If your '15 F-250 is a Crew Cab with factory power locks you need the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8250-PL9510. Should you have factory power locks but do NOT have a Crew Cab you need the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock...

  • How Do I install The Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock On My 2014 Ford Raptor
Your 2014 Ford F-150 Raptor has keyless entry. Therefore if you are installing the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock - Power - Black, part # PAL8250, you will need to access the passenger side kick panel. The wires you would splice into are behind the kick panel. There you will find the wire harness with the pink w/red wire and pink w/black wire. I have included the installation instructions for a more detailed explanation and an installation video link below.

Yes there is a tailgate lock that fits your 2019 Ford F-150 that will lock with the power locks of your truck. For that you'd want the Pop and Lock tailgate lock part # PAL8250 and you'd be set. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well. The truck in the video is a 2012 but it's the same process as your 2019 model.

Yes, in order to have the tailgate on your 2014 Ford F-150 lock in correspondence with the power locks on the truck you will just need the Pop & Lock # PAL8250. • What Wire Colors are Needed to Install a Pop and Lock Tail Gate Lock on a 2013 Ford F-150 Super Crew
On a 2010 and up Ford F-150 the wires should be light blue with a green stripe and gray with a brown stripe. However, the manufacturer could use any color wire they need to if they happened to run out of one color on the assembly line. The best way to find the correct wires is to test them with a circuit tester like # PTW2979 if needed.

  • Wire Colors for Installing Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock in 2018 Ford F-150
We've found that in general the wire colors listed in the install instructions for the Pop and Lock tailgate lock part # PAL8250 are accurate but it's a good idea to check with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. For your 2018 Ford F-150 the wire colors should be: Grey/with a Brown(tan) stripe wire and the Light Blue/with Green stripe wire on the drivers side. For the passenger side locate the Grey/with a Brown(tan) stripe wire and the Purple/with Grey stripe wire. Also make sure you...

  • Troubleshooting Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock Installed on 2013 Ford F150
Because the problem you describe is intermittent, I would suspect a wiring issue. I'd review the wiring connections where you tapped the wiring for the tailgate lock into the vehicle wiring behind the passenger-side kick panel. Instead of the quick-splice connectors (which can occasionally cause problems), use butt connectors for a more secure connection. Seal the connection with electrical tape or heat-shrink tubing. You can see an install video by clicking on the provided link.
