What Wires Are Used When Installing Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock On 2015 Ford F-250

Question:

Can you please tell me the color wires for the 2015? I thought it was going to be yellow with a purple stripe and blue with a green stripe. I cannot find anything for the 2015 f250. Thanks in advance.

Per the installation instructions for the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock, part # PAL8250 on Ford Trucks 2009 and up, you would need to locate the Grey/with a Brown (tan) stripe wire and the Light Blue/with Green stripe wire on the drivers side. If the truck has 2 doors or access cab then the wire will be in either side kick panel. If the truck is a true 4 door (crew cab) then the wires can be located in the step plate.

For the passenger side locate the Grey/with a Brown (tan) stripe wire and the Purple/with Grey stripe wire.

If you cannot find the wire, the best way to find the correct wire for locking and unlocking your vehicle is to use a circuit tester and test the wires. You will poke the wire with the tester and hit the lock and unlock button on your key fob to see which wires are going to give you the correct signal. We have a very reliable tester #40376 that all of our installers use on a daily basis.
