Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Camco RV and Marine Short-Term Water Filter. Now this disposable filter will help clean fresh water before it enters your RV or boat. This water filter removes these contaminants and more from your freshwater. Removes aluminum, bad tastes, chlorine, heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, iron, lead, mercury, mold, odor, cloudiness, and even sediment.
The filter purifies the water as it moves from a public water system to your RV or your boat's tap. The water travels through this filter and has openings no greater than 20 microns in diameter. And it will also pass through a bed of GAC, which is granular activated carbon for further filtration and bacteria control.Now, this is designed for exterior use only and basically what you end up doing is right down here you'll attach your incoming water hose to the end right here where it has the arrow that's pointed the direction of the water flow. And in the other end right here is what'll connect to your RV or watercraft using a short hose, a hose elbow, or a flexible water filler. Those items we do sell separately on our website.
Now this disposable filter is a short-term filter. It is good for about 120 days, but that should do it for the review on the Camco RV and Marine Short-term Water Filter.

I suppose if you’re a full timer you would probably want an installed water filter system but for those that camp throughout the summer these filters are perfect. I change mine midway thru the season and these workout great. The included flex hose certainly helps when the spigot is too low to the ground or for hooking directly to your RV.

- Replacement 10 inch Water Filter for Under Sink of 2001 Fleetwood DiscoveryI spoke with our contacts at Camco and they stated that any of their 10 inch water filters would work. The part # CAM40645 would work well for you. This filter is good for 120 days once installed. The part # CAM40043 is good for one camping season which is going to be about the same length, this filter has a smaller micron rating at 100 compared to the the # CAM40645 which has a 150 micron rating. The smaller the number the more filtering takes place.
