I have attached an installation video of the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock part # PAL8250 which is a confirmed fit for your 2011 Ford F-150 on a 2012 Ford F-150 for you. The installation between the 2011 and 2012 model years will be the same. The truck we installed this lock on has the manual tailgate key lock but not the reverse camera or tailgate step. However, the kit works on all models regardless of features so the installation process should not be much different if different at all.
If you need further help I have attached a photo that displays a write up one of our customers did on his truck with the lock, camera, and step that I feel is very helpful. If your truck has a crew cab and long bed (8') then you will need an extension like part # PL9510 for the lock wires to reach the factory harness.
