Worked great..... used it on a farm tractor and planter to replace the John Deere plug that was bad. [...] wanted $508.82 for their replacement plug and as you know I have $26.50 in yours, freight included. Made a new bracket, put it on and went back to work. THANK YOU

These connectors completed the job of connecting my 4 camera CCTV backup system with multiplexer from my trailer to the truck cab. I needed nine wires to accomplish this function. It is too bad that you didn't carrying the 9 wire cable, but I found a company that carried it on the web.

This is the exact plug that I needed without having to change out to more recent 7 pole conventional plugs, even though for my application I am only using 3 wires. Wiring instructions came with. I don't have a trailer or camper now, but this will be the electrical feed to my fuel transfer tank.

Spent about 4 hours and 6 or 8 phone calls with no luck in solving my camper wiring hook up issue. No one could offer me the product solution I needed. You are right in that a 9 wire harness is hard to find. You can just add additional wires and make it work. The color of the wire does not matter - just find the gauge of wire you want and label it so you know the function. For example we have 10 gauge wire part # 10-2-1, and 12 gauge wire part # 12-2-1, that is sold by the foot.

I only had to swap a burned out unit for a new one. The switch was easy. Some of the wires were lose in their holes so I striped extra length and folded the bare wire to make solid connections.

The Best Way to Wire a 9-Way Vehicle Connector to a Trailer Side 9-Way Connector
The numbers that are given behind the colors for wiring chart of this Pollak 9-Pole # PK12907 are the gauge wire that is recommended you use for that circuit. If you need the matching 9-way trailer connector you would want a Pollak 9-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Connector # PK12906. There is not a standard wiring for 9-ways, you will need to wire the # PK12907 by function to the corresponding trailer 9-way connector. 9-pin connectors are rare these days. We do still offer vehicle and trailer side connectors of this type, such as # PK12907 and # PK12906, but we do not have any adapters that can convert your truck's 7-way blade-style RV connector to a 9-pole round pin type. A 9-pole connector like # PK12906 has two extra circuits (auxiliary on the gray wire and reefer on the orange) that would not be supported if fed by a 7-way socket. A 9-pole to 4-Way flat adapter is not available since it is a combination that is quite rare. You would either have to make one or install a separate 4-Way. Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Intermittently Says it is Not Connected
There is a loose wire or an intermittent connection somewhere on the brake output circuit of your tow vehicle/trailer. That is what is causing the controller to periodically display that it is not connected to a trailer.
