Today we're going to be taking a look at part number GS04. These are the Brophy shackles with the screw pin design. The shackle diameter on this unit it's going to measure five-sixteenths of an inch. It's going to offer a maximum load of three thousand pounds, that's also the break strength rating, with a Safe Working Load limit of one thousand pounds. They're going to be made from a corrosion-resistant galvanized steel construction, very strong and durable. They have the nice screw pin design so you can easily twist that pin in and out by hand.

It's going to secure it quickly and easily. Shackles like this are going to be great for connecting straps and hooks. You can use it to secure rope. You can use them as tie down points. You really do have a lot of possibilities with parts like this. It's going to provide a strong, secure connection point for a wide variety of applications.

I'm going to go ahead and take a measurement of that internal area that we have. If I measure inside edge to inside edge, going this direction, we're looking at about seven-eighths of an inch. Inside edge to inside edge going this direction, we're looking at about one and one-eighth of an inch. That's going to do it for our review of part number GS04.
