When you’re loaded down for a full weekend, this tire and wheel combo keeps your trailer steady and predictable. The Maxxis ST235/80R16 radial tire carries up to 3,420 lbs at 80 psi with a Load Range E, 10-ply rating that handles heavier hauls without extra bulk. Reinforced sidewalls stay firm through repeated load cycles so you can tow confidently mile after mile.
Long drives feel smoother thanks to the internal bead balancing system. The tire is balanced with internal beads instead of external weights, reducing vibration and helping the tread wear more evenly over time. Radial construction adds highway stability and tracking up to its N speed rating of 87 mph, so it stays composed even during long interstate stretches or hot summer runs.
This wheel doesn’t just look sharp—it’s made to last. The black machined aluminum finish resists rust and road grime, while steel lug nut inserts protect the bolt holes for lasting strength and consistent torque. Each wheel is rated for 3,300 lbs and uses a common 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern with a 4.25" pilot diameter, giving you a solid fit that stands up to years of use.
Skip the extra shop stop—this setup comes pre-mounted and aired up so it’s ready to bolt on right out of the box. The built-in bead balancing means no additional weights or mounting steps are required. It’s an easy way to give your trailer an immediate upgrade in performance and appearance without extra hassle.
There’s real peace of mind built in here. The assembly includes a Maxxis 1-Year No Excuses Guarantee for free replacement if the tire fails under normal use, plus 2 years of 24/7 roadside assistance across the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. The radial tire also carries a 5-year limited warranty, and the aluminum wheel has a lifetime structural warranty—coverage that keeps you rolling when it counts most.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"
