Replacement 16" Wheels and Tires for Keystone Springdale 5th Wheel

Updated 12/29/2025 | Published 11/30/2025

Question:

Good morning I’ve recently had an unfortunate circumstance which is allowing me to possibly upgrade from 15 inch wheels and tires on my fifth wheel to 16 inch wheels and tires on my fifth wheel. I’ve measured clearances with the shop and it seems that there’s plenty of clearance to upgrade the 16th. What wheel packages do you have with an aluminum wheel similar to what I had in a set of four?

Hey Scott! Sorry to hear about your trouble, looks like the trailer is ok for the most part so that is good news. For similar wheels with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern we have the Maxxis ST235/80R16 Radial Tire w/ 16" Eagle Aluminum Wheel # MXS87FR. I know you said you measured but I would double check just to be sure. You're going to lose 1" of clearance on the top of the tire over the tires you have now.

If you're looking for a wheel that is a closer match we have the all black Aluminum Eagle Trailer Wheel # LH67VR but it doesn't come as a wheel and tire combo. You will have to get tires like # KE83KV separately and have them mounted. If you would rather stick with Goodyear tires we also have the # GY97QB but it is the same size you have now.

Do you want wheel center caps as well? The pilot diameter on the larger 16" wheels is 4.25" so you can use the # LHCS108-SI60C. The 15" wheel is 3.19" so you would need the # LHCS102-SI60C instead.

Hey Scott, how did the upgrade to the 16-inch wheels on your fifth wheel turn out? Did the Maxxis tire and Eagle aluminum wheel combo fit the way you expected? Your update could make it easier for others thinking about the same change.
