Can I Upgrade From 225/75R15 Tires To 235/80R16 Tires On Tandem Axle Cargo Trailer?

Question:

Can I use the MXS87FR on my tandem-axle cargo trailer? It has 6-lug hubs and currently runs 225/75R15 tires.

You can, Ben - but keep in mind, the # MXS87FR uses a larger 16 inch wheel with a ST235/80R16 tire, so you’ll gain roughly an inch in diameter. As long as you have at least 3 inch of fender clearance when loaded, it’s a nice upgrade for capacity and stability.
