This tire-and-wheel combo is built to haul serious weight and stay steady at speed. The Kenda Karrier ST235/85R16 radial tire carries a Load Range E rating with a 10-ply construction and handles up to 3,640 lbs at 95 psi. It’s matched with a steel wheel rated for 3,050 lbs, giving you a reliable setup that meets DOT specifications and runs confidently up to 81 mph (speed rating M).
Kenda’s special trailer radial design combines double steel belts with full nylon plies for strength and stability that lasts. The cords lie at a 90-degree angle to travel, reducing rolling resistance and heat buildup so tread life stretches longer. Premium rubber compounds and computer-generated tread patterns give dependable traction in wet or dry conditions, keeping the ride smooth mile after mile.
The modular-style steel wheel by Dexstar uses a two-step finish process with an e-coat primer and black powder coat that seals out moisture. That means less worry about corrosion from road spray or humid storage conditions. The 16" x 6" rim size, 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, and 0 offset make it a solid fit for heavy-duty use while keeping its clean look over time.
The tire-and-wheel assembly comes mounted out of the box so you can get rolling fast without paying for extra mounting work. It includes a 5-year tire warranty plus a 1-year warranty on the wheel, and there’s also a 1-year worry-free guarantee—if the tire is damaged within the first 12 months, it’s replaced at no charge. It’s a setup designed for confidence from day one.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"
