When bumps and dips throw your trailer around, this straight equalizer keeps things level. At 8" long, it connects double-eye springs on tandem or triple axles and lets them move just enough to share the load between axles. The design transfers impact smoothly from one axle to the next so your trailer rides steady and your cargo stays put.
Uneven suspension can cause one axle to work harder than the other. This equalizer fixes that by hanging from a center hanger with a 3/4" diameter bolt hole, keeping weight balanced through the whole suspension system. It helps prevent harsh jolts and sway, giving the trailer a more predictable pull behind you.
Loose or squeaky joints are signs of worn bushings or poor fitment. This equalizer is built for 1-3/4" wide double-eye leaf springs with 9/16" spring eyes, matching up cleanly with 9/16" shackle bolt holes. Nylon bushings come pre-installed to keep movement smooth and cut down on noise, while a bit of grease during install helps everything slide together easily.
Getting your suspension geometry right means smoother articulation and less stress on shackles. The 4" center-to-center spacing between the hanger and shackle holes sets the right motion range so your springs and equalizer swing freely. With a compact 1-3/4" overall height, it fits neatly into tight setups without binding the system.

Just as described, arrived promptly as always from etrailer.
The product looks great and will replace the old equalizers from a 70’s horse trailer, but not all the bushings were shipped with the two I got. Mainly the large center 3/4” bushing was missing. Can’t find them on the website so I am gonna have to get resourceful to find the bushing.

I cut my own firewood every year and get just under 2 cords on this trailer and drag it through the woods without any problems
I have to return this product due to it being way to long. A 6 inch would have been perfect but the 8 inch is just to long and will cause the shackles to bottom out on the frame.
Part fit perfect. I couldn't find this piece anywhere locally nor could they even order it or find it in their catalogs. Etrailer saved me a lot of hassle and money. Will be ordering more parts from etrailer in the future.
Exactly what I needed. I do wish they could have had the steel liners installed instead of plastic, but since I ordered an upgraded shackle kit as well, was easy to replace them. Great product, fast shipping and exactly what was needed.
Very sturdy. I installed with metal bushings and bolts with zerk fittings for a heavy duty long lasting suspension.

I had to replace one on my 2 horse trailer. etrailer made it easy when I ordered them. Replaced both side and everything bolted right up. Used so far for a year with no problems. I replaced all the bolts and sleeves. Perfect time to do it since your tearing into it. It will be trouble free for years. Excellent product.
