Determining Correct Replacement Leaf Spring For Trailer W/ 3000lb Axles and 27" Long Springs

Question:

I have a 1975 king horse trailer manufactured by Cimarron. Looking to replace all for springs and hardware. The spring on it measures around 27” from center of eye to center of the other eye but the springs on it are probably worn and stretched. Would SP-210275 work or should I go with a little shorter one. It also has a 8” straight equalizers. The axle weight is 3000# The trailer has a weird setup. As you can see in the photos. Thanks Hope to back soon

The # SP-210275 you were looking at is for a 3500lb axle and is 27" long measured from center of spring eye to center of spring eye. This is the correct spring for your trailer based on the measurements you provided. The next shortest spring would be 2" shorter which would be much too short.

For replacement equalizers we have the # TREQR89 which is 8" long and has a center hole of 9/16", or the # TREQR83 which is 9" long and has a 3/4" center hole.

For replacement hardware you can use 12 of the # TRFA73Z916DLNZ and 2 of the # 126A1 if your center bolts on the equalizer are 3/4" diameter, or 14 of the # TRFA73Z916DLNZ if your center bolts are 9/16" diameter.

For replacement shackles you will need to measure center to center of the two holes. Based on the pictures you provided it looks like your shackles are the 3-1/8". If that is the case you will need 8 of the # TRSL313.

If you find you have a different length shackle strap just let me know.

I included a few videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
