Rough pavement and washboard surfaces can toss a trailer around and make towing stressful. This kit’s heavy-duty, nitrogen-charged gas shocks cut that motion by up to 50 percent, calming bounce, chucking, and porpoising. Each shock measures 17-1/2" extended and 11-1/2" compressed to give plenty of travel for rough roads. The result is steadier handling and far less movement inside the trailer when the road gets uneven.
Axle roll up during hard stops can lift the rear tires, losing grip when it’s needed most. The Comfort Ride’s center hanger boxes isolate each slipper spring so the axles work independently, preventing shock transfer between them. That design increases traction by as much as 70 percent during braking, giving noticeably more control and stopping confidence.
Traditional equalizers let vibration pass between axles, creating a harsh wave of motion. The Roadmaster setup replaces those with fixed center hanger boxes that hold the flat end of each 27" long, 1-3/4" wide spring between a roller and safety bolt. The built-in roller keeps the spring from hopping inside the box, turning vertical hits into smooth front-to-back movement for a quieter, more stable ride.
Frequent greasing and worn bushings are a common annoyance on factory suspensions. These springs come with maintenance-free Never Fail bushings already pressed into the 3/4" eyes (9/16" without bushing). Made with molybdenum and graphite, they’re tougher than brass or nylon and won’t squeak or seize up over time—just install them and forget about them.
Installing this system doesn’t require welding or fabrication. The kit bolts over existing hangers using supplied hardware and fits standard 3" diameter axles, typical of 5,200- to 7,000-lb ratings. Each leaf spring supports 3,000 lbs and uses five 3/8" thick leaves for strength. Four shocks, four springs, and two center hanger boxes come included for a complete tandem-axle upgrade that’s ready to bolt on and go.

Holy moly! I'm sorry you had such an ordeal getting the Comfort Ride installed and we really appreciate your patience with us. The Roadmaster Comfort Ride system is the best suspension upgrade around, and I think you'll be really happy with it when your headed on your trip! I must admit though, I haven't heard of the forgotten coast, where is that?

After a complete frame rebuild and reinforcement caused by weak factory suspension. There is no question the Roadmaster suspension is still the best upgrade we have done on our 5th wheel RV.

Really like the Roadmaster comfort ride suspension. It greatly reduces movement of products inside the 5th wheel while towing compared to the original CRE 3000, often on decent roads nothing moves at all, on rough roads still some movement but nothing like before. Strongly recommend
