What is Wheelbase of Roadmaster Comfort Ride Suspension System

Updated 02/09/2026 | Published 02/06/2026

Question:

We currently have a 2015 SportTrek 270VBH that the axles had been replaced on, they used the width axles and wrong length springs and screwed up the springs and equalizers, so we are looking to replace everything. We already have a pair of 5200lb 3inch axles to go under it so I know this kit will work based on weight rating and axle diameter, my question is what is the spacing between the center line of axles when the kit is installed? They used the wrong springs on this and the tires are not centered in the fenders as they should be, hence needing to know the axle center line dimension.

Hey Eric, The Roadmaster Comfort Ride System part # RM49NQ has the standard 35 inch wheelbase for 6k axles like what your 2015 SportTrek 270VBH. This should fit the fender spacing your trailer has a lot better. I'd be willing to bet that if you measured your current wheelbase it's probably 33 inches as that's the other really common wheelbase.

We are currently at 32" and 35" is perfect for the camper based on the fenders. Added to my list of things I need to do the conversion, thanks for your time.
