Keeping the axle tight to the springs is key to a smooth, steady tow. This 9/16" diameter U-bolt is built from raw steel that’s lightly oiled to guard against corrosion in storage. It gives your 1-3/4" square axle a firm, reliable clamp point when paired with a U-bolt plate and matching bolt. That solid connection helps keep the suspension tracking true over every mile.
Getting the fit right matters when you’re securing suspension parts. This U-bolt is 5" long with a 1-3/4" inside width, made to wrap perfectly around square axles of the same size. Each leg has 2-1/8" of threading, giving plenty of room to tighten it down securely with the included nuts. It matches easily with a U-bolt plate like part #116308 (sold separately) for a complete setup.
When your trailer hits bumps or uneven ground, you want hardware that stays put. The heavy 9/16" steel and deep threads keep tension locked in place, even under load and vibration. With the right torque, this U-bolt holds the axle tight against the leaf springs so your suspension does its job without shifting or loosening up.
Whether replacing worn hardware or building from scratch, this U-bolt goes on clean with standard tools. The included nuts make it easy to finish the job once your plate and other bolt are in place. For drilling new holes, a 9/16" or 5/8" bit works best, and a little cutting oil keeps things smooth. It’s simple gear that gets your trailer back on the road solid and sound.

Today, we'll be reviewing part number 175130. This is Redline's Replacement U-bolt, with the included nuts for 1 3/4 inch wide square trailer axles. This is used with U-bolt plates to secure the axle to the leaf springs, which are mounted to the trailer frame. It's going to attach with a U-bolt plate, which is sold separately, and an additional U-bolt with the same dimensions, which is also sold separately. Each side of the U-bolt is threaded. If we take a measurement of the beginning of the threaded portion to the bottom of the bolt, it's going to give us a measurement of 2 1/8 of an inch. This is designed to fit square 1 3/4 inch wide trailer axles and again, it's going to include both nuts. If we take a measurement of the bolt diameter, that's going to give us a measurement of 9/16 of an inch.
The length that we have from the bottom of the crossbar, to the bottom of the U-bolt, is going to measure 5 inches. The width that we have between the two U-bolt posts is going to measure 1 3/4 of an inch. That's going to do it for our review of part number 175130. This is Redline's Replacement U-bolt with the included nuts. .

I got this u-bolt to replace a factory u-bolt while rebuilding my trailer. It fit just fine and came with locking nuts. The threads were a little uneven on length, but it wasn't an issue. (Probably only an 1/8")
I was having a hard time finding a specific size U bolt for a boat trailer. After a couple of disappointments from other vendors, I ordered the needed parts from etrailer.com.

Had a hard time finding the u bolts until I found etrailer.com. They had exactly what I was looking for. The quality of the u bolts, nuts and the spring plates I purchased from them was great. Much better than all the wrong sized ones that I could locate locally. I would definitely buy from them again. Their communication was good as well.
the hanger worked perfectly, it didn't have any washers, but I had some, I also painted the axle and all the parts with the new hammer paint, the axle looks like new. the leaf is excellent, everything fit perfectly' it's a flat steel trailer with truck tires and I use it for hauling heavy equipment.

They seem to be high quality replacement bolts. They fit perfectly. I have not had the trailer down the road yet but at least its back together.
I purchased replacement U-bolts, U-bolt plates, slipper springs and associated bolts and a replacement ball hitch for a trailer renovation project. Unfortunately I didn't take "before" pictures to show the poor condition of the trailer. The products and personal services provided by etrailer were simply fantastic. Their videos were very helpful but more important, the personal sevice I received when I called to clarify items needed and how to install them was incomparable. Still on my boat trailer no issues!
I replaced the suspension on an older horse trailer every thing was worn out.with this kit I was able to relocate the axles .
With the help from etrailer my project went without a hitch everything was exactly what I needed .

This U bolt worked Great...I actually modified my rural king trailer and used these U bolts to fasten my leaf spring to axle...Whst I did was set the springs on top of the axle. They were under it. It raisec my Utility trailer 6 inches. I don't reccomend you try this without watching lots of youtube videos
Quick delivery and excellent customer service (with follow-up emails to ensure that everything was ok with the order). This replaced a broken bolt on a 1956 camper trailer, and it's a very close match to the original.
I'm glad to have gotten the pieces. I thought they were 4 inches in length, they're 6. I paid for the 2 day delivery but got them in 6 days; was refunded for the shipping and informed that my next order would be shipped on them. I'm off mixed feelings but will be using their services again
