Question:
Hello etrailer techs! I wonder if you could answer my question about the whole distance from the inside of coupler to the center of the whole, which in my case is 1 1/4, is that correct? If you can also help me find proper u bolt. I want to replace old ones. They are 1 3/4 wide inside dimension, 2" long. Could be longer max 3". It's hard to find that. Thanks a lot for your help.

I took a look at each of the 2,000 lb trailer couplers that fit a 2" channel and connect to a 1-7/8" hitch ball, and none of them have bolt hole to bolt hole measurements of 1-1/4". The Fulton Fas-Lok Coupler # E112000340 and Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # CT-2001-Z both have 2-1/4" on center measurements and the Dutton-Lainson Coupler # DL23870 measures 2-1/2" from bolt hole to bolt hole.
The 1-1/4" bolt hole to bolt hole measurement you have is going to be too small for any of the current trailer couplers so what I strongly recommend is that you drill new holes which will allow you to use the coupler of your choosing.
In regards to the U-bolts the only ones we carry with a 1-3/4" inside diameter are the Replacement U-Bolt with Nuts for 1-3/4" Wide, Square Trailer Axles # 175130, which are 5" long total, but the non-threaded portion is 2-7/8". These would require U-Bolt Plate for 1-3/4" Square Trailer Axles with 1-3/4" Wide Springs # 116308. I've added links to reviews of these parts as well.
