Question:
I am replacing leaf springs , slip type on a magic tilt boat trailer B 16 W, it is rated at 1500 #. I would like to go to 2000 or 3000 type springs, I haul camping stuff thats heavy . They have 1 3/4 IN. 26 inch springs currently. I think I can go longer if needed with replacements out to 32 in. I will need the hardware to bolt on to my tubing 1 3/4 in X 3 in. I have the ubolts, they look good.

The best way to determine the length of the slipper spring you will need for your trailer is to measure the spacing, center to center, of the spring hangers. If this spacing is approximatley 23 inches, we have a couple of springs that can work well for you. If your spacing is different, feel free to let me know and I will see if we have a spring that will work for you.
If your spring hanger spacing is 23 inches, a great replacement slipper spring is the SP-179275 4-Leaf Slipper Spring, which is designed for 2,000 pound axles. This spring is 24-5/8 inches long x 1-3/4 inches wide.
The springs for a 3,000 pound axles are considerably longer than the springs listed above. If you don't mind adjusting the spacing of the suspension hangers on your Magic Tilt B16W, you could use longer springs that are designed for heavier axle capacities.
Keep in mind that using leaf springs with a higher capacity will not increase your trailer's towing capacity. The trailer will still be limited by its lowest rated component, between the tires/wheels and axles. Also note that putting higher rated springs on your trailer can cause the ride of the trailer to be stiff. Using heavier springs not ideal when needing a smooth trailer ride for the boat.
For replacement hardware to attache the springs to the axle, you can use the Replacement U-Bolt with Nuts # 175130 and the U-Bolt Plate for 1-3/4 Inch Square Trailer Axle # 116308. We do not sell the U-bolt nuts seperate from the U-bolt.
