Today we're going to take a look at the Peterson replacement amber lens for the pedestal mount tail lights. Now, this is a replacement amber lens that fits on the pedestal mount tail lights. It is a snap-on installation, and it is designed to fit the Peterson 313 series, 313-2 series, 339-2, and the 410-2 series stop, tail, and turn lights. A few measurements on this: The overall diameter on this lens is going to be right at four and one-eighths inches, and the total heighth to the very highest point is going to be right at one inch tall. But, that should do it for the review on the Peterson replacement amber lens for the pedestal mount tail lights.
One of the lenses of my Kubota 3240 right taillight fell off and was damaged, so I got this. When I tried to install it, it would not stay on the side where the old one fell off -- it was a tiny bit off in size and would not grab the little nubs. But then I swapped it with the OEM lens on the other side, and both attached OK to their respective sides -- but just OK.
I think we can blame the so-so fit of the lenses on the dubious taillight design from Kubota -- even their OEM lens does not snap in tightly, let alone in a manner that makes the assembly water-tight. Given the crappy design, I'm not even convinced a new OEM lens would fit any better. This part is probably as good as one might do for a replacement lens, and I do recommend it.
