The Thule T-Rac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Cantilever is designed for serious hauling. It carries up to 1,000 lbs and includes a cantilever extension that adds 32" of over-cab length for longer loads like lumber, pipe, or kayaks. The wide bases on each upright keep the rack stable without extra bracing, while the internal web structure inside the 69-1/2" crossbars adds strength without extra weight. At 29-1/8" tall, it gives plenty of overhead clearance and keeps cargo balanced front to back.
You don’t need to drill into your bed rails to get this rack installed. The aluminum U-channel bases sit on the top of the bed rails and secure with heavy-duty C-clamps, giving a strong connection that’s easy to torque down. The system attaches and removes as needed, letting you switch between work setups or open bed space quickly. The included toolbox mounting kit uses the same clamp system, so you can mount a crossover toolbox without touching a drill.
Built from 6000-series aluminum, this rack is tough, lightweight, and rustproof. The dual-stage finish adds extra protection—first an electrostatic e-coat that clings tightly to the metal, then a clear coat that fights scratches and scuffs. It’s a finish meant to handle jobsite use and bad weather without corroding, so the rack keeps its clean look and full load strength.
The slotted crossbars accept a wide range of accessories on both the top and bottom channels. Four aluminum load stops are included and lock in place with twist-knobs to hold ladders, boards, or kayaks steady. Four side cleats mount to the uprights for extra tie-down points, giving flexible anchor spots for bulky or mixed cargo. The built-in airfoil trip strips on the front of each bar cut down on wind noise for a quieter ride.
The elliptical crossbars are shaped to reduce drag and noise while keeping airflow smooth across the rack. The cantilever extension lines up seamlessly with the front bar, giving one continuous platform from the bed to the cab. When you don’t need the over-cab section, it can be removed for a more compact setup. With a total rack weight of just 55 lbs, it adds strength and utility without weighing your truck down.

Well designed, well built. Pretty straight forward install. A little taller than expected on the Colorado. The cantilever hardware (nuts and bolts) is different than the rack hardware which; though of no consequence structurally, should probably be addressed by Thule to standardize the install.
This bed extender works as advertised. I would highly recommend it to anyone that has an extended cab pickup with a short bed. This is great for hauling longer items around.
My shipment arrived on time , but the box I ordered was damaged. When I informed customer service , they got me a replacement shipped immediately. Great service.

In the paperwork please explain that you need to exchange the top bracket and replace with the one needed for the over cab extension
