Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this submersible LED trailer license plate light. Now, this three quarter-inch diameter round waterproof trailer light illuminates your license plate when mounted with the required bracket. And I do have this connected to 12-volt power, and lemme just give you a brief demonstration of what this looks like lit up. The LEDs, of course, make great replacement for incandescent lights. They last 50 times longer and they're more efficient and they provide brighter light with less power output.
So, there's no bulbs to replace and no brittle filaments. And again, you can see this nice, bright, white light that it casts. And this is with my studio lights off and even with my studio lights on, you can see it real well and see just how bright it is. The two white LEDs are behind a clear polycarbonate lens and sealed in a waterproof construction that's submersible. And this is a two-wire pigtail with 0.108 male barrels, as you see here.
And again, this is DOT compliant. And again, the diameter is three quarters of an inch. The power draw at 12.8 volts is gonna be 0.03 amps. And there is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today.

I love the products but the quality of the packaging was horrendous. When I opens the box up there wasn’t enough packing paper in the box to keep the lights from shifting in the box. Most of the lights were out of the low quality unsealed plastic bags and were a scratched and marked up. Along with that there weren’t any bags for the smaller 3/4”lights and were loosely thrown in the bottom of the box with the grommets not being attached in any way. After I pulled the contents out of the box I realized that there weren’t even enough crappy plastic unsealed bags for all of the main 4”and 6” S/T/T/B lights and to finish it off all the electric grease that was in the plugs was not covered in any way leaving all the bags and contents of the box completely covered in di-electric grease. Overall after cleaning all the lights up the products are amazing except for it took a little research to find out that the 4” STTB lights aren’t supplied with pigtails. I’m disappointed of the quality control for your company for the price that you ask.

This product solved my need perfectly. All other license plate lights of this style that I've seen only have one wire and ground through the housing. This was not suitable in my case where my light snapped into a plastic housing around the license plate opening. This was the only lamp of this style I found that had a ground wire, which is exactly what I needed. I'm glad I found it and was able to plug the hole in my license plate housing where the original light had gone missing.

Even though the item was out of stock and had to be ordered I do not blame the company for the delays involved after placing my order, especially pre Christmas time with the post office crunch for all retail sales.

The light works perfectly. It's bright enough to light up the license plate from a few inches from the side. The light is wired in place of the existing light and mounted in a new location. It has been in place for a year, many miles, rain, snow and lots of sun. The night time pic makes the light itself look super bright but that is the camera.

Perfect replacement for the old incandescent license plate lights on my 2019 Newmar Mountain Aire. I did paint one side silver to match old lights. These new LEDs lights are sealed so I expect they won’t burn out easily like the old lights.
