This round trailer light is fully sealed to handle wet or submerged use. The red polycarbonate lens and housing are sonically sealed into one waterproof unit, keeping moisture out and protecting the internal bulb from corrosion or electrical damage. It’s built for environments where water exposure is common, so you can count on it to keep shining bright no matter the conditions.
Clean installs are easy with the recessed mounting design and built-in black flange. It fits into a 2-3/4" diameter hole and uses standard mounting holes spaced 2-11/16" apart. The low-profile shape sits neatly against the surface for a finished look that won’t snag or catch. Hardware isn’t included, so you can choose the fasteners that fit your setup best.
No special wiring needed here—the light accepts an industry-standard 2-prong PL-10 plug (sold separately). That makes it simple to connect to existing trailer wiring without splicing or adapting. It draws only 0.2 amps at 12.8 volts, so it won’t strain your system while still delivering bright illumination where you need it.
This light meets DOT standards and carries a P2 rating, producing a focused beam pattern visible straight on for use as a clearance or side marker light. The clear, even output from its incandescent bulb ensures your trailer stays visible in low-light conditions while meeting safety requirements.
Both the lens and housing are made from tough polycarbonate that resists impacts and UV fading. Combined with Optronics’ sealed design and a 3-year warranty, this light delivers dependable performance trip after trip without worry about cracks, leaks, or dulling over time.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number MC56RV. This is the Optronics trailer clearance or side marker light. This is a sonically sealed waterproof design when it comes to the housing and the lens. The unit is submersible. It's going to feature the red lens. We're going to have the really durable polycarbonate lens and housing, very strong and durable.
The unit's going to contain one incandescent bulb. This is designed to be a recess mount installation with built-in black flange here kind of the base of the light. Your hardware's not included but you can see that it's going to contain 3 mounting holes. We can take a measurement of the recessed portion. That's going to tell us what size hole this unit would mount into. That looks to be 2-3/4 of an inch so the light will fit into a 2-3/4 inch diameter hole.
Here on the back side you're going to see the connection point to provide power and ground to the light. This will accept your industry standard 2-prong plug. That is available here at etrailer.com. It is sold separately. The light itself is Department of Transportation compliant. It's a P2 rated light.
If we take a measurement of just the diameter of the lens portion, we're looking at about 2-1/2 inches. Overall diameter, measuring from edge to edge, we're looking at about 3-7/16 of an inch. It's going to give us a measurement from front to back of about 15/16 of an inch in depth. The distance that we'll have between the mounting holes measuring center on center, that's going to be separated by 2-11/16 of an inch. The power draw on the unit at 12.8 volts is 0.2 amps. I'm going to take a measurement from the bottom of the flange to the bottom of the recessed portion.
That's going to give us a measurement that looks to be 9/16 of an inch, so just over 1/2 inch. We're going to go and hook it up to our actual power source. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. I have a 2-prong plug already connected so you can see how it connects. It goes right into the connection points here on the back, pushes in for a nice tight seal and a good fit. You can see the light sends out a really nice consistent signal. Again, this is going to work as your trailer clearance or side marker light. The red circular lens allows a lot of light to come through, distributes it pretty evenly and again, the lens in the housing is going to be made from that strong polycarbonate material so it's going to stand up well to the elements and over time. That's going to do it for today's look at part number MC56RV.

Broke one of my warning lights and stretched out the rubber grommets. Perfect fit and matched my existing lights like nothing ever happened. Awesome price and was delivered quickly. You have a customer for life thank you.
I'm so pleased with ETrailer because you are the only ones that carried it. Thank you so much.
I purchased this light assembly and a rubber grommet to replace the right marker light on my Karavan trailer. It fit perfectly and had the proper 2 pin connector. Ordering was easy and it arrived promptly.
Just what I need for my motorhome. Arrived much sooner than I expected. Installation was a snap.
The product was an exact fit nothing required. Simply plugged it in to the existing wires and it clipped right into the trailer opening. Still working today! excellent!!
I A great experience. Product works as it should and Alec C. Made sure to keep me informed throughout the entire proceeds
These running lights work great. I use them on my boat trailer which is exposed to a lot of salt water. No problems, for they are a sealed light. For the price I bought extras but haven't had to use them. It's been about a year now.
Works as advertised.
Light work great!!!
I always buy from etrailer Customer service and fast delivery
Knowing that a Black trailer would be hard to see at night the following lights were added to my custom built trailer for night time safety.
1- Side mount red and yellow fender light which only works when either the brakes or turn signal are in use.
2- Front Clearance lights, which give additional lighting at night when approaching on coming vehicles.
In the process of detailing my 2003 motorcycle trailer to get it looking good again. Clearance lights needed replacement. The original red lights were now faded pink for goodness sake! Replaced all 20 lights with the thin-line red and amber side marker lights. Replacement couldn't be more simple; remove original lights, snap in new. Exact fit and everything worked perfectly. Now, once the new tires and wheels get here we'll be in good shape! The new lights definitely make you say, "no way that trailer's 15 years old" :-)
Light was an identical replacement. No issues, great service and fast service. Will buy again from etrailer if I have to again.
As per your request here is a photo of the installation of the running lights that I purchased from etrailer. I have included a photo of the original light fixtures that I replaced. The originals were proprietary to Winnebago Industries, but have not been available for some time. The top piece that the lights mount on are made of a plastic material & was molded to accept the fixtures into a small recessed area. As a consequence, I could find no replacements at the local suppliers. I found the MC68RB fixtures on your web site & felt sure that they would fit the recessed area. They did fit, & I was able to install them with some common sense adjustments to the new fixture & the area that received the fixture:
1 added another wire to provide ground for the light.
2 drilled a hole to accommodate the wires in the center of area to receive the fixture, as the original hole was set to one side.
3 mounting holes were wider than new fixture - used one of the original holes & used a self drilling screw on the other.
We are happy with the installation, and in our opinion there is very little difference in appearance of the area between original & replacement provided by your company. There are at least 2 models (View & Nation) that used the original, global-bright 122R/122Y, sold between 2005 & 20013 from what I can tell.
I no longer have the good camera that took the photo of the original photo. The photo of the replacement fixtures was taken by a smart phone, hence, less quality of photo. Sorry the quality is so poor.
I really like the staff, you guys and gals rock! I have used you twice and thank you!
I bought 5 of these amber lights for the front of my trailer, and 5 red counterparts for the back, and similar oval side lights too, to replace all of the 50-year-old corroded lights on my 1970 Shasta M1400. I am super pleased with them, as they look period-appropriate, and are very bright as well. The only issue I had was that the Shastas of that period used the aluminum skin of the trailer as the ground, so there is no "ground wire." On a couple of them, the caulking I put under the lights made the ground screw not find the metal skin to ground the circuit. So just a note to be careful when you put the caulk on the back of the light when you are installing. Make sure you don't caulk over, and thus insulate, the ground plate. Btw, this was my first purchase from etrailer.. and in the past year, I have purchased probably another $xxxx of stuff for our trailer. Great selection, great service. This website really should be your first stop when modernizing your "vintage" trailer.
High quality, inexpensive marker light. Easy to install, it happened to be in my mailbox as I was departing with the trailer so I just popped it in. Matches the OEM lights on the trailer.
Worked as designed, easy to install.
Lights are great and the order was shipped fast.

I could only find my trailer light at etrailer. They don't make my type of trailer anymore so parts are hard to find. Etrailer.com had the exact replacement piece and fit like a glove. Outstanding customer service and updates on orders. Thanks
They work well in place of lights with rubber grommets that won’t stay installed because the holes are worn or too big. I’ve had these on a trailer for a year and they have operated great with no problems.
