Specs:
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LEDs are capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diodes are capable of producing. This light has a 240 raw lumen capacity and produces 168 effective lumens.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics Opti-Brite LED Dome Light. This round dome light is going to provide bright white light for your trailer's interior. LEDs are great replacements for incandescent lights, they're going to last longer, they're going to burn bright, and they're much more efficient. You also don't have to worry about replacing the bulbs, and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. This unit is going to feature a nice sturdy chrome plated steel base, it's a surface mount installation, so you put this up against the surface of the mounting location, and then it's got four mount holes that we can just screw it in place, and get it fully secured that way. Your mounting hardware is not included. Here on the back side it's got 2 wires, it's going to provide the power lead, as well as the ground wire.
Taking a look at the dimensions real quick, overall diameter, so from outer edge to outer edge, this is going to give us a measurement of 6 and 7/16ths of an inch. If we go center of one hole to the center of the other, this is going to give us the mount hole separation. We're looking at 5 and 15/16ths of an inch, it's going to be the same going the other direction as well. The depth, that's how far this would stick out from the mounting surface, that's going to be about 1 and 5/8ths of an inch. It's going to contain 2 LEDs, the power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.35 amps. I'm going to go ahead and hook it up to our external power source.
That way we can see what it looks like with power running to it, and we'll also be able to see it in a low light setting. I do want to point out to you that the unit has a clear lens, so that's going to help bring as much light out as it possibly can. A clear leans does a great job at allowing plenty of light through. Go ahead and make sure we get a good connection here. Here you can see the light sends out a strong consistent signal, now again it's got two LEDs, so the multi diode design is really going to help optimize our light output.
The raw lumen output for this light is 240 lumens, and the effective lumen output is 168 lumens. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics Opti-Brite LED Dome Light.
