Question:

2023 Transit 250 eco-boost extended, high roof. Since the EH79CR has a tongue weight of 1000 pounds, it would support a 542 pound motorcycle, correct? Curious to know if there is a live load weight limit involved that it would not support that weight. Not my 950 lbs Road Glide…

Hey Richard. The EcoHitch Hidden Front Hitch item # EH79CR will definitely support a 542 lbs motorcycle. It has a 1,000 lbs total capacity no matter how you use it. Unless you have the lightest motorcycle carrier ever, it's not going to work with your Harley.

Jerred, My small bike is a 2025 Honda Rebel 1100T, manual trans. I do not have a carrier as of yet. I did see a single add for one for 550 lbs (I cannot find it again) and several for 300 & 400 lbs. I may have to build one, if I cannot find the one I found before. Would you know of one that would work for me? Thank you Richard

@RichardC You're welcome! That looks like a fun bike. The only carrier we have with that high of a capacity is the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches item # UF48-979033. It's got a 500 lbs capacity but the instructions state to only use it with dirt bikes and scooters.

@JerredH there are two videos on that UF48-979033 bike carrier. Do you know what bike was used in the “ Carrier and ramp test course” video? Are plans offered for sale to make this rack, possibly I could step up the square tubing sizes? I would get the EH69CR also the have a second point of bracing if it’d fit the EcoBoost model.
