Question:
I have a 1998 32 Fleetwood Bounder motorhome. The motorhome has ducted AC. The rear AC has stopped working. What unit is recommended, and do I need to update the thermostat?

Hey W.F.! If you're looking for a 13.5k Btu unit like the Advent Air # ADV96SR that is a good option but you're going to have to replace the entire system. Everything moved to the new R32 refrigerant in 2025 due to EPA regulations, and these AC units aren't backwards compatible with the old R410A setups.
Since you have a ducted setup you need the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV95SR. This comes with the AC system, thermostat, start capacitor, and air distribution box. A 15k Btu unit # ADV92SR is also available. A heat strip # ADV34QR is also available separately.
Where are you headed once you get your AC replaced?
