Center Caps For A 6-Lug Trailer Wheel With 4-1/4" Pilot Hole (roughly)

Updated 03/31/2026 | Published 03/26/2026

Question:

Good afternoon! I have an inquiry about finding some center caps the correct size for a steel 6 lug trailer wheel, would that be a 4 1/4 hub pilot size? That was about my rough measure I took on my wheel

Hi Travis!

4-1/4" is going to be a pretty typical pilot hole size for a 15 to 16" wheel with 6 lugs, and we have a bunch of options for that. I have the three that I think look the best below, but I also have a link to all of them as well:

Taskmaster Center Cap for 15" or 16" Aluminum Viking Series Wheels - Gloss Black # CXF104B
Taskmaster Center Cap for 15" or 16" Aluminum Viking Series Wheels - Chrome # TA65FR
Taskmaster Trailer Wheel Center Cap w/Center Plug - 4.25" to 4.27" Pilot - Stainless Steel # TA46QR

I am a fan of black center caps on black wheels, but that's just my personal preference. Any of these three will definitely fit, but let me know if you have any questions about any of these or other ones in the link.

What kind of trailer are you wanting these for? And what color are your wheels?

4.25" is correct for the six lug black steel wheels.
