Features to know about

Brighter Reverse Lighting with Efficient Power Draw: 12-Diode LED Output

Backing up in the dark or low-light conditions is easier when you can actually see what’s behind you. This 6-1/2" x 2-3/8" Light Guide LED Backup Light uses twelve white LEDs to put out a clean, bright beam while only drawing 0.381 amps at 12.8 volts. The LEDs are arranged with eight around the outer edge and four centered behind the X-shaped light guide across the lens. The result is even illumination that helps improve visibility while using far less power than standard incandescent bulbs—and you’ll never have to replace a filament again.

Keeping Water Out for Good: Sonically Sealed and Submersible

If your trailer ever goes near the water, this light is built to handle it. The lens and housing are sonically sealed as one solid piece, making it fully waterproof and submersible. That means no moisture creeping inside to corrode the circuit board or dim your LEDs. Whether it’s rain, road spray, or full submersion at the ramp, this design keeps everything protected so the light stays clear and bright every time you use it.

Smooth, Modern Look That Doubles as a Reliable Backup Signal

The Light Guide Series design gives this backup light more than just brightness—it looks sharp too. A smooth X-shape glows across the clear polycarbonate lens, giving your setup a distinct style while signaling clearly to anyone behind you. It’s DOT compliant and meets FMVSS 108 requirements in any 360-degree position when paired in a two-lamp system. You get both function and a clean, modern finish that stands out without being flashy.

Simple Mounting and Wiring for Quick Installation

Installing this oval light is straightforward thanks to its recessed-mount design and industry-standard PL-2 connection. It accepts a two-prong pigtail (sold separately) for power and ground and works with a rubber grommet or bracket for secure mounting. Once the wiring is connected—white for ground, red for power—you’re ready to go. It’s a clean fit that tucks neatly into place while keeping wiring protected from dirt and moisture.

No problem with lights I brought over a year ago.

by:

This light fits perfectly and is working just fine.

I purchased these to replace the docking lights on my RV. I was expecting the 12 LED's in them to be much brighter than they are, yes, they put out a nice white light, but they don't illuminate much better than the old incandescent ones. A lot of money for not the desired result

etrailer always has the best prices, products, and very fast shipping! Have bought many items from this company over the years and highly recommend them to anyone!

by:

I purchased these for our Boy Scout enclosed 14’ tandem axle trailer. They probably compare to my truck’s reverse lights as far as illumination. A little brighter would be nice but they work better than the incandescent bulbs that they replaced.

Product is awesome!

Just installed these in my horse trailer and I am very happy with them. I had a total of eight white incandescent lights on the trailer to replace with LEDs, I looked all over for a light that had a good flood pattern, not a super “blue” white, and decent brightness but not blinding. I think I found a good match. The Tack Room, Interior, Loading/Reverse & Rear Tack all got changed. My plug was getting hot on the B+ pin, the old lights drew 14.5 amps, which is a lot for the trailer plugs. The new LEDs only draw 2.5 amps, talk about a difference! They have a nice white tone, great flood pattern, and are a little brighter than the incandescent lights. These are a good replacement for cargo/area lighting on trailers that used these 6” ovals.

  • What is the Brightest 6" Back Up Light and Why Aren't They Listed By Lumens?
As you've figured out their not listed by lumens because the manufacturers do not offer that information. The Light Guide LED Backup Light for Truck/Trailer item # BUL602CB has eight diodes on the outside and four internal diodes. It's going to be our brightest back up light. • Recommended Lights for CM Trucks 1510304 Flatbed
Based on my research the CM Trucks 1510304 uses the standard size oval lights on the flatbed. For stop, tail, turn lights you can use the # STL602RB. For reverse lights we have the # BUL602CB, or if you want a backup and tail function the # BUL602CRB. You will also want the PVC Grommet # a70gb and 3-Wire Pigtail for Optronics Trailer Lights # A45PB for installation.
