I have an oval opening of 2.5inch by 6.75 and I am look for LEDs, The present lights have a rubber gromit that holds the light in the trailer United Trailer. What lights do you recommend?

We don't have any lights in that specific size. The closest we have are the LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn, Backup - Submersible - 16 Diodes - Oval - Clear Lens # STL211RCB that measure 6-7/16" long x 2-5/16" tall x 1-1/2" deep. These install with the PVC Grommet for 6-1/2" Oval Trailer Tail Lights # A70GB which should account for the measurement differences you mentioned.
Other options are the LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn, Backup - Submersible - 16 Diodes - Oval - Red Lens # STL211RB and Light Guide LED Backup Light for Truck/Trailer - Submersible - Oval - White # BUL602CB
