Features to know about

Brighter and More Efficient Lighting: 16-Diode LED Output

This light throws serious brightness where you need it most. With 16 white LEDs behind a clear lens, it delivers a clean, wide beam that makes backing up in low light easier and safer. Each lamp produces 1,120 candlepower while drawing only 0.295 amps at 12.8 volts—about one-tenth the power of standard incandescent bulbs. There are no filaments to break or bulbs to replace, so it’s built to outlast and outperform old-style lights.

Worrying About Water Damage: Sonically Sealed and Submersible

Whether you’re launching a boat or driving through heavy rain, this backup light is ready. The polycarbonate lens and housing are sonically sealed to form a single waterproof piece, keeping water and debris out of the electronics. That sealed design protects the 16 LEDs and circuitry from corrosion and moisture intrusion, making it reliable even when fully submerged.

Tight Mounting Spaces: Recessed Design That Fits Cleanly

When space is limited or you want a flush look, the recessed-mount setup gets it done. Measuring 5-5/16" long by 3-7/16" tall by 2-5/16" deep, it fits neatly into a cutout with a grommet (A33GB sold separately). The light accepts an industry-standard 2-prong plug such as pigtail A45CB or A49PB (sold separately), so wiring is simple and secure with no extra adapters needed.

Dependable Performance You Don’t Have to Think About

This Optronics LED backup light is DOT compliant and meets FMVSS 108 requirements in any 360-degree position when used in a proper 2-lamp system. It’s built with durable materials, uses almost no power, and carries a lifetime warranty on its LEDs. Once installed, it just works—bright, efficient, and ready every time you hit reverse.

Great and perfect replacement for the backup lights in my headache rack.

by:

They look good just bought them as spar es

by:

the light fixture works very good except when used in the bracket, it leaves the back exposed to being hit by road debris. There is no cover on the light fixture. Therefore i went to a local fabricator and he made a fixture out of 2x4 steel tubing. The gasket fit perfectly but when i went to us the 2 wire pigtail, it was at the wrong angle for the light. I purchased another one locally. just wanted you to know that i could only use the light and the gasket.

Thank you for your prompt service.

These lights have been an outstanding upgrade from the original incandescent brake/turn/tail/reverse lights on my department's 1992 water tanker. The diodes in the lights are really bright and can be seen clearly at nighttime or during the day. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

by:

Nice & bright - should definitely provide more light when backing at night vs. the old incandescent bulb.

by:

Product exactly as needed. Existing lamps last about 8 to 10 weeks as docking lights on my motorhome; there are four - one at each wheel. These lamps fit perfectly and are much brighter. My expectation is that these lamps will last more than a year(?) We'll see.

by:

I purchased these Submersible LED bulbs for my boat trailer for two reasons. The first is so road traffic is aware of my intentions of backing up and the second is to make it easier to back my trailer into my driveway at night. The only thing that I find disappointing about this product, is that the wires are not sealed. You have to plug a pigtail in to power the bulb. Although they say it is watertight, I still plan on sealing the plug with some marine grade silicone sealant. Otherwise I am very satisfied with the way these bulbs light up my path of travel.

by:

These Lights were a perfect fit for my RV. They easily fit over the OEM flush mounted incandescent lights that were very dim by comparison. The soft rubber gasket that came with them made installation very easy and watertight. As you can see in the picture, I replaced both my brake & back-up lights. I've had several compliments on their looks by people that saw my RV before I installed these too! But most of all, I'm very satisfied with the huge increase in brightness when I need it. I would recommend these for any do-it -yourselfer out there to upgrade existing trailers, or for something you're building!

by:

Nice lights. I have the 36 diode oval LED lights mounted on a flatbed truck as reverse lights and they are not near as bright as these 10 diode lights. I have the 10 diode lights mounted inside a 6ftx20ft stock trailer on a toggle switch. There is one at the front and one at the back. They give off plenty of light to load and unload horses and cattle in the dark. I would buy these again for the next trailer I rebuild. The team at etrailer.com is top notch as well. Your order will ship the same day and arrive in a timely manner. If it does not they will tell you why. Great people to do business with.

by:

Just what was needed to brighten up the rear of my horse trailer when loading and unloading in the dark

by:

With several of the MCL31 clearance I had half or all of the LEDs stop working. I did not at the time realize they had a lifetime guarantee so I just threw them away. When A bunch of the LEDs in both BUL52CBs and about half of the turn/stop LEDs in the STL37RB went out, I contacted etrailer and they happily replaced them, but it took a couple of weeks and I had to pay the shipping. When I replaced all of my trailer lighting, I had thought that I would never have to worry about it again. LEDs should last forwver. That turns out to not be the case and it is a lot harder to change out hard wired LEDs than socketed incandescent bulbs. I wish I could find reliable long lasting LED trailer lighting.

Great service! Parts ordered arrived in record time, order was complete, and no problems. I had ordered same parts from another supplier, waited 5 weeks and when order arrived it only had one light not two as were ordered. Still having issues trying to get that order resolved. You guys make it easy, will get more orders from me as well as letting my friends know where to order from. Thanks

by:

I have received the product and am very happy to say that the product is going to work for the application we needed it for.
However we did have a question on if you could provide part numbers for us.
We want to get the pig tail and the grommet for the lights we just purchased for us.
Could you provide part numbers so we could get those ordered?

The grommet you need for part # BUL35CB and part # STL35AB is part # A33GB. The pig tail you will need for part # BUL35CB is 2 wire pigtail part # A45CB. The pigtail you will need for STL35AB is a 3 wire pigtail part # A45PB.

I purchased this Optronics LED Backup Light to supplement the amount of reverse light that the T Bargman LED taillights provide. I installed them on a 1991 Ford E450 21 passenger church bus. This light is intended to be installed in a steel trailer frame with a rubber grommet which I did not order. I did not realize that a grommet was required. I probably would have ordered the grommets just in case I needed them but it was not made obvious to me on the website or recommended that I may want to consider including them in the order. After receiving the package and examining the light I realized that there was no way to secure the light into place without something. I went back to the website and looked up the light again and drilled down to the bottom and there it was, the grommet that I needed. Why didn't the site make the recommendation more obvious or suggest this part before ordering like it did with the wiring lead...? I was able to still make the lights work, it just took a little bit of planning which was required anyway with this custom retrofit application. I cut a precise hole into the fiberglass so that I could recess the light, which was my original plan even before realizing that the light required a grommet. I recessed the light in the hole and glued it in place with silicone. Time will tell if this was a good idea or not. I wish that I would have ordered the elbow wiring leads in stead of the straight ones. I ran into a clearance issue with the straight lead and had to modify them as well.

  • Replacement for Glo Brite Reverse Light
We unfortunately don't carry that light and GLO Brite is no longer in business so no longer available. The light is 7 inches by 6-3/4 inches and 2-3/4 inches deep. We don't have anything that is that is a perfect fit. The closest we have is the Great White LED Trailer Backup Light - Waterproof - 20 Diodes - Clear Lens # PE78CR. This is 5-5/16L x 3-7/16W inches. We also have the Optronics LED Backup Light for Truck or Trailer - Submersible - 16 Diodes - Clear Lens # BUL35CB which is...

  • Flush Mounted LED Lights for Flatbed Trailer
Thank you for the photos; based on what you showed, you would want oval LED lights that are in the 6-1/2" x 2" range, though you would need exact dimensions to ensure the right fit. For example, # STL72RB is a red oval light that measures 6-7/16" x 2-5/16" x 1-3/4" deep while # STL70RB is another red oval light but with dimensions of 6-1/2" x 2-1/4" x 1-1/8" deep. The same will apply for your white oval lights, such as the 6-1/2" L x 2-1/8" W x 1" # BUL72CB. The other lights look to be...

  • Is LED Backup Light BUL35CB Much Brighter Than Incandescent BU33CRXLB
The difference between the lights isn't in the brightness so much as the clarity, so the Optronics LED Backup Light for Truck or Trailer # BUL35CB is not significantly brighter overall than the Backup Light with Red Reflex Reflector # BU33CRXLB. I have added some photos showing the lights on for some reference, though keep in mind it's not a perfect representation due to camera angle, room darkness, etc. but I wanted to show an example of the different kind of light. • Can LED Backup Light, # BUL35CB, Be Used as a Fog Light
LED Backup Light, # BUL35CB, is designed for use as a reverse light and not a fog light. Different lights, if DOT approved, have to meet certain requirements for a given function. For a fog light kit you can use # QH-84CF. Each of these lights has a power wire and ground wire. The kit includes brackets, a switch, and the wiring along with the 2 lights.

  • Can Halogen Bulb Lights be Converted to LED Type Bulbs
Bulb types can often be changed as long as there is a compatible equivalent version and so long as the new type does not cause fit or temperature issues.
