Video Transcript for Bulldog Trailer Jack BD018564 Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Bulldog Detachable Foot Plate. This foot plate attaches and detaches quickly and easily. It does come with the included pin. This foot plate is going to help spread out the weight applied to the base of your jack. This is going to help increase overall stability and it's going to help to prevent sinking on softer services. It's made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a nice rust and corrosion resistant finish so it's going to last a long time.

This is designed to fit a 2-inch diameter inner tube on your jack. We can tell that by taking a measurement from inside edge to inside edge. You can see that's right at 2-inches. The foot plate is going to give us an overall length measurement of 7 and 1/2 inches. It's going to give us a width measurement of 3 and 3/4's of an inch.

The pin hole diameter is going to measure 3/8's of an inch and the actual diameter of the pin is going to measure 5/16's of an inch. Another measurement I want to give you is, I took a measurement from the inside, right here at the bottom of the tube to the center of the pin hole, and when I did that, I got a measurement of 1 and 1/16th of an inch so we could do that from this way as well so you can see that from the bottom of that surface to the center of the pinhole, we're looking at about 1 and 1/16th of an inch. The height of the tube is going to measure right around 2 inches. This is going to have a capacity of 2,000 to 5,000 pounds. Very simple installation. I do want to go ahead and show you how it installs on a jack. I have a Bulldog Jack here today that has a 2-inch inner tube right here, so this just goes directly into the foot plate, line up your pin holes, and then secure it onto the jack by installing the included pin.

That's all there is to it. That's going to do it for today's look at the Bulldog Detachable Foot Plate.

I was having issues with my RV front jack and every time I would jack it up it would either get stuck on up position or down position and you could hear where the gears were stripped. So I purchased the Bull Dog Item # BD1700100317 as well as the BD018564 as the footplate. I received the item within 3 days of order, open the boxed and installed in less than 5mins.One of the easiest products I have ever installed.I worked the trailer jack up and down with no problems and good amount of extend. Thanks guys for making my camping trips easier..Picture attached of old jack and new one in place.

  • Low Profile Trailer Jack Recommendation for Better Tailgate Clearance
Sounds like you are looking for a lower profile jack for your trailer so that the tailgate of the vehicle does not interfere with it. I went to our warehouse and was able to locate an a-frame jack that measured less than 12 inches from the bracket up. The Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack, # BD155032, comes in just under 11-1/2 inches which included the handle. I have attached a picture to illustrate the measurement. This a-frame jack has a lift capacity of 5,000 pounds and mounts to any standard...

  • How Tall is the Bulldog Zinc Top Wind A-Frame Jack BD1750290301 From the A-Frame Bracket?
Hey Debby. The 10-11/16" measurement does not include the handle and how it attaches to the Bulldog Zinc Top Wind A-Frame Jack item # BD1750290301. That's only to the top of the jack portion itself from the a-frame mounting bracket. With the handle included it's right at 12" tall from where the bracket bolts to your trailer. How far is it exactly from the a-frame coupler on your trailer to your tailgate when it's down? Is that the 13 you mentioned at the end of your question?

  • Higher Capacity Replacement for Bulldog 2,000 lb Trailer Jack 155033 on Horse Trailer
Hi Kim; the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack # BD1750290317 you were looking at is the perfect replacement. This will match right up to your existing bolt pattern and you can carry over the foot from your # BD155033. This has a 5,000 lb capacity and comes with a 5-year limited warranty. If you want to add a new foot you can use the # BD018564.

  • Replacement A-Frame Jack With 2 Inch Outer Tube
For your 1999 Jayco Glacier Heritage trailer, I recommend the A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 1,000 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson # DL22530. This is the only jack we have that has that 2 inch outer diameter upper tube. For a foot you'd want the part # DL22541 and then for a wheel part # DL22414. If you need a topwind model like you stated wanting, you will need to enlarge the hole in your coupler to accept the standard 2-1/4 inch outer tube. You can use a hole saw, a rotary grinding tool,...

  • Replacement Trailer Jack for 2001 Viking Saga 1906 Pop-Up Camping Trailer
Thanks for the photo. We don't have a jack that has the integrated bracket like what your trailer has as that is more of a custom application. If you are able to remove the mount and re-weld it, then I recommend the Bulldog Round Jack - No Mount - Topwind - 15" Lift - 5,000 lbs # BD1701480317. This jack can use a footplate like # BD018564. Another option is to use a pipe mount to replace what is currently on your trailer. For that I recommend the Pro Series Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel...

The A-Frame Trailer Jack - Topwind - 5,000 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson # DL22772 does not have a grease zerk fitting integrated, sor do any of our other top wind jacks. This doesn't mean they are difficult to maintain, but they do not have that integrated feature. Normally the bigger square topwind jacks do have that feature like # TJD-7000 as well as some of the side wind Swivel jacks. I've linked the page to all your 5,000 lb Top Wind trailer jack options to assist. You can add the Replacement...

  • Installation Of Square Drop Leg A-Frame Jack On Coupler With Round Hole
The drop leg jacks that we offer have square tubing. You mentioned that the round hole you have on your coupler is 2-3/8 inches diameter. The tubing on the Bulldog Square, A-Frame Jack, part # BD195318 you referenced measures 3 inches diagonally. you would have to modify the hole in your coupler to make this jack fit. We do offer a Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack, part # BD155032. This has a capacity of 5000 lbs and has a 2-1/4 inch outer tube diameter. I would then recommend the Bulldog...

  • Replacement for a Fulton Marine Trailer Jack Model 0926012
The most comparable replacement for your Fulton model 0926012 3K capacity A-frame trailer jack would be the Bulldog # BD1550101344 which offers the same capacity and amount of lift as your current jack. The jack features a zinc finish that offers good corrosion resistance. You could certainly go with a higher 5000 lb capacity jack like the Bulldog 1700100117, but we don't offer that jack. I went out to our warehouse and pulled the Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler w/ High-Profile Latch, # BD028384 to get a measurement for you. The neck of the Bulldog coupler measures 8". I have included pictures which illustrate these measurements. The Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler, # BD028384, is a heavy-duty coupler that offers a tight fit with visual indication of proper closure around the ball to ensure quick, easy and secure hookup which will hopefully keep you mishap-free. I do have an option for you but the Ultimate Trailer Jack part # 322-RDJ-2K only comes with an outer diameter of 2-1/4". The 2" outer diameter tube jacks are harder to find. We do have the A-Frame Trailer Jack - Sidewind - 1,000 lbs. by Dutton-Lainson part # DL22530 with the foot plate part # BD018564 that has a 2" outer tube. However it only has a 1,000 lb capacity. You can always use a rotary tool to file out the hole of your a-frame mounting plate to use the larger diameter jack.

  • Pipe Mount Trailer Jack with Caster Wheel
Because the fit to the trailer of a pipe mount jack is a little loose due to the large tolerance between the jack and the pipe mount on the trailer, it's pretty rare to find a pipe mount jack with a removable foot that would allow a caster wheel to be installed. The Bulldog # BD150415 which is actually intended for use on a basket lift CAN be used on a trailer according to the folks at Bulldog. The dimensions between the inner edges of the bolts holes on this jack are 5 inches by either 3-15/16 inches or 2-15/16 inches. I have another option for you, but the standard mounting hole spacing is 3" as you mentioned, and we do not offer a jack with mounting hole spacing of 3.5". Instead you will need to weld the jack to the tongue of your trailer. I recommend the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack - Topwind - 15" Lift - 2,000 lbs # BD155022 if your current jack is a topwind, or # BD155157 if your jack is sidewind. This jack has a lift capacity of 5,000 lbs, a top wind crank and a 15 inch lift like the square jack you referenced. • Replacement A-Frame Trailer Jack for a 2006 Forest River Wild Wood Trailer
It sounds like you have a 5,000 pound capacity A-frame trailer jack. There are many options in this category. If we narrow it down to top wind, bolt-on jacks with a round tube, there are 4 possible options. The 14 and 15 inch lift specification is how much the inner leg travels. For a jack with 15 inches of travel, I recommend the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack, # BD155032. If you need a foot plate, you can add # BD018564.
