Question:
I am looking for a jack for my horse trailer with a shorter distance from the mounting plate to the top of the jack so that the tailgate of my Rivian R1T will not hit the jack. I already have an extended hitch but the tailgate will still hit the jack that I have. I am looking at the Bulldog Zinc top wind A-frame 5,000 lb jack. The specs say that the clearance from the mounting plate to the top of the jack is 10 11/16. Does this include the crank. If it does it should work for me. The existing jack has that clearance at over 13

Hey Debby. The 10-11/16" measurement does not include the handle and how it attaches to the Bulldog Zinc Top Wind A-Frame Jack item # BD1750290301. That's only to the top of the jack portion itself from the a-frame mounting bracket. With the handle included it's right at 12" tall from where the bracket bolts to your trailer.
How far is it exactly from the a-frame coupler on your trailer to your tailgate when it's down? Is that the 13 you mentioned at the end of your question?
