When you need strong, consistent braking on an 8,000-lb axle, the Dexter duo servo setup delivers. The dual-plunger cylinder pushes both shoes at the same time, giving more braking power than a single-plunger design. The 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" assemblies are built for 16" or larger wheels and use a 4-bolt mounting flange pattern. Every stop feels steady and controlled, whether you’re loaded heavy or towing long distances.

Crawling under the trailer to tweak your brakes is a thing of the past. These self-adjusting hydraulic drum brakes keep the shoes properly aligned as they wear, so you always get peak braking performance without routine maintenance. A tensioning cable automatically maintains contact between the shoes and the drum for consistent stopping power every time you hit the pedal.
The bonded brake pads don’t rely on rivets, so there’s no metal-on-metal scraping as they wear down. That means quieter operation and more friction surface for stronger braking. The tapered pad edges help prevent stutter or lockup and reduce uneven wear, keeping braking smooth and predictable mile after mile.

Each kit includes one left-hand (driver’s-side) and one right-hand (passenger’s-side) brake assembly designed for hydraulic drum operation. They’re made to pair with surge actuators that have reverse lockouts and work best when used as a matched set. Mounting bolts and hardware (part number BRKH12) are sold separately, so you can choose exactly what fits your setup.
The brakes will be very hot after doing this, so after every 10 stops you'll want to wait about 10 minutes to let the brakes cool off before continuing. If you don't, you might cook and crack the pad material.
