I am switching my trailer to hydraulic brake assemblies. Will the same drum work that was on the electric assemblies?

The Dexter # 8-285-11UC3 brake drums are indeed compatible with either electric or hydraulic brake assembles. Your existing drums would work perfectly with the # 23-402-403 Dexter Hydraulic Drum Brake Kit. I would recommend that you inspect the inside diameter of the drums to make sure they are smooth and in good shape.
