  • Weight capacity: 1,500 lbs
  • Bunk length: 4'
  • Roller dimensions: 4-3/4" wide x 2-1/2" diameter

Roller Bunks

CE Smith's roller bunks convert your boat trailer's guide-ons from bunk board style to roller style. Instead of sliding on and off your trailer's bunk boards, your boat will smoothly roll. This not only simplifies the process of loading and unloading, but it also protects your boat's hull against scratches. Mounted in a rust-resistant galvanized steel channel, the durable rubber rollers absorb road shock during trailering.

Installation

The roller bunks are pre-assembled and can be mounted directly to your existing bunk boards (mounting hardware is sold separately). If you want to replace your bunk boards and attach the roller bunks to the front and rear crossmembers of your trailer frame, use a four-pack of swivel mounting brackets (CE10003G-4 - sold separately). These brackets allow you to install the roller bunks at different heights. In addition, the brackets enable the bunks to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes.

Galvanized Steel

Steel parts are galvanized by being hot-dipped in zinc after they have been stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

  • Boat Trailer And Bunks For Hauling True Kit Discovery 4.0 13.1' Inflatable Catamaran
Hello Ash, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you are on the right track here because the CE Smith Multi Sport Plus Boat and Kayak Trailer w/ Bunks # CE48870 is definitely a good choice for hauling an inflatable catamaran. The roller bunks are also a good idea for raising the boat while hauling, and for assisting with loading and unloading. It sounds like you are wanting to do a 7' bunk so two of the 4' Long Roller Bunks # CE27700 on each side would do fine. You are correct that...

  • Roller Bunks and Brackets for 5.2 meter Fiberglass Cabin Boat
Hey Garry, we have 5 foot long roller bunk sections like the part # CE27710 as well as 4 foot sections like part # CE27700. You'd want to order a quantity of both that would get you to the 5.2 meter length of your hull that matches the best. Then for a set of swivel brackets you'd want the part # CE10003G-4 for a set of 4 and for u-bolts to mount them part # CE15283GA-4 would be a great solution.

  • Should Entire Wood Bunk be Covered with a Roller Bunk
Hey Monte, ideally your full bunks would have rollers covering them but it really comes down to how much of the bunk your boat is sitting on. If the front of the bunk isn't getting used since the hull of boats tend to angle up in the front that area wouldn't necessarily have to have rollers but adding a second set of rollers so that the boat is on the roller as much as it would be on the bunks would be most ideal.

  • How To Install Roller Bunks on a Malone Watersport Trailer
In order to convert your Malone trailer from a roof rack on wheels to a full on boat trailer with roller guide-on's, I recommend using the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers part # CE27700 and CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies for Roller Bunks part # CE10003G-4. The crossbars and brackets will need to removed and then you can install the swivel brackets to the crossmembers and the bunk rollers to the swivel brackets. That said, you will still need u-bolts that match the...

  • Recommended Roller Bunks For LoadRite PWC Trailer
The CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers - 6 Rollers Each - 5' Long - 1,500 lbs - 1 Pair # CE27710 will work well for your LoadRite trailer. If you want the 4 foot option, you can use # CE27700. This will work with the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies for Roller Bunks - Galvanized Steel - Qty 4 # CE10003G-4. These brackets will follow the contours of your boat. For installing the brackets, I recommend the CE Smith U-Bolts - Galvanized - 3-13/16" Long x 3-1/16" Wide x...

  • Recommendation For Adding Bunks or Rollers to a Calkins Boat Trailer for a 21' Boat
As far as size is concerned, you want the bunks/rollers to be at least half the length of your boat. Whether bunks or rollers are the better option really comes down to your use. If you take your boat on and off of the trailer quite a bit, then going with rollers would be a good choice. The boat will smoothly roll over the bunks which is easier and less taxing on the hull of the boat. Given the size of your boat you would need to use 3 of each product below: - CE Smith Roller Bunks for...

  • Roller Bunk Recommendation for a Boat Trailer with Wood Bunks
The CE Smith Roller Bunks, # CE27700, that you referenced would be a great option for your boat trailer. These roller bunks are 4 ft long and they can be mounted directly on top of your current wood bunks. You can also use the CE Smith Mounting Brackets, # CE10003G-4, if you want to replace the wood bunks with the roller bunks. Keep in mind, these bunks have a weight capacity of 1,500 lbs, but based on your photo, I do not think you will have much of an issue with that.

  • How To Choose the Correct Roller or Carpeted Bunk Boards for a Trailer
The size of bunk board or bunk roller you will need for your boat trailer is based off the hull size. However, generally speaking the manufacturer knows what size roller/bunk works best for the boat/trailer. Therefore I recommend using the same size that the trailer came with but it wouldn't hurt to go a bit longer if you have room. If you are switching from rollers to carpeted bunk boards then I would go longer. For the carpeted bunk board option we have part # CE27800 which are 36" long,...

  • Recommended Roller Bunks to Replace 7 Foot Bunks on Boat Trailer
I spoke with my contact at CE Smith and she stated that 5 foot roller bunks will be adequate for your 15-1/2 foot Smokercraft Alaskan, as long as the space between the cross members are 56 inches or less. If the space is more than that, the 5 foot long bunks will not be enough and you can then obtain two sets of 4 foot bunks and have them cut to size. For a 5 foot long roller bunk, I recommend the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers # CE27710. This is a channel-style roller bunk that...

  • How To Determine the Correct CE Smith Roller Bunks for a Boat Trailer
The CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers part # CE27710 are 5' long so as long as these are close to the same length of the bunk boards you have on your trailer now they will work well for you. The CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers are is offered in a 4' long version, part # CE27700. I cannot confirm fit based on the make or model of the boat/trailer unfortunately, only the length of the existing bunks.

  • Can Roller Bunks Be Used On a Pontoon Boat Trailer?
Yes, you can use Roller Bunks # CE27700 with a pontoon boat trailer. These come in 4' long sections that you can attach directly on top of the bunk boards or you can use the V-Wing Bolster Bracket # CE26244G if you are concerned with raising the height of the boat on the trailer as you already mentioned the shallow ramp. I do recommend using Roller Style Guide-Ons # CE27672 to help position the pontoon on the rollers when loading your pontoon boat.

  • Recommended Roller Bunks for Lund Boat and Trailer That Uses Wooden Bunks
You can make loading and unloading your 14-foot Lund onto your trailer a lot easier by adding roller bunks to your existing 2 x 4 carpeted wooden bunks. These can bolt on directly to your existing bunks, even right over the carpet. We offer them in 4-foot and 5-foot lengths that you can see by clicking on the link provided. • Recommended Roller Bunks For 4,500lb Boat On Boat Lift
I have a solution for you but the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers item # CE27700 you referenced only have a 1,500 lb capacity per pair. I recommend the Dutton-Lainson Boat Trailer Deluxe Roller Bunk item # DL21741. These rollers have a 3,000 lb capacity per pair so you will need to purchase two sets to support your 4,500 lbs boat. They come in 5' long sections and have 12 sets of 3 rollers.

  • Fit of Hobie Mirage Outback Kayaks on Malone MAL25FR LowBed MicroSport Trailer
The crossbars of the Malone # MAL25FR LowBed MicroSport trailer are 78 inches in length. From what I found online, the Hobie Mirage Outback kayaks are about 34 inches wide which would provide plenty of room as the bunks are width adjustable and can be moved side to side as needed. The 100 lb weight of each fully rigged kayak would fall well within the capacity of the trailer, so there'd be no worries there. As for rollers, you could use bunk rollers like # CE27700 which could be mounted...

  • Roller Bunk Recommendation for Jet Ski Ramp
For the 10 foot long bunks you have two sets of the CE Smith roller bunks part # CE27700 would work well for you. These can be mounted directly to the wooden bunks you have already or you can remove them and install them with the brackets part # CE10003G-4. The steel of these buns are galvanized which will do an excellent job preventing rust and corrosion. They would last longer than wood being constantly submerged.

  • Roller Bunks For 8 Foot Long Bunk Boards on Jet Ski Trailer
Since you have 8 foot wooden bunks already, you can indeed just mount the roller bunks directly to the wooden bunks with 3/8" lag screws, and you're correct you'd need four of the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers - 4' Long # CE27700. The lag screws are something you'd have to pick up at your hardware store, and that's the route I'd go since it's just easier overall (and just as safe) than removing your current bunks. But if you're more comfortable removing your current bunk boards...

Yes, if you have 8 foot long bunks currently then you'd want to install a total of two 4 foot rollers on each bunk like what comes with the # CE27700. So you'd need a quantity of two of this part number and you'd be set.
