Dimensions of roller-style guide-on

Adjustable boat guides can be fine-tuned to work with your boat and your trailer. The galvanized steel support posts mount horizontally on top of or below your trailer's frame rail. Just slide the posts into the boat guide supports and secure the posts so that the distance between the rollers correctly matches the width of your boat. The rubber roller guides help to center your boat during loading and to hold the boat during transport.

Galvanized Steel

Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

@Walter That's great to hear, thanks!

by:

The good. These things work perfectly to guide me onto the trailer and do not mark up my boat, which is white. And they are sturdy so they do not bend and installed in minutes. The bad is that I have them on an old galvanized EZ Loader trailer from 1986. The trailer is not rusting but these guides are. Not terrible yet but when they say they don't make em like they used to. They don't.

Good product. Makes it easier to get boat aligned straight on trailer. Very good instructions on installation and the video helps a lot!

The roller guide-ons have worked well for my boat. They make it easier to keep the boat straight on the trailer, which still can be a challenge especially on windy days.

by:

Purchased one and it worked but due to a limited 4” roller width needed a second roller to improve alignment for my aluminum boat on windy days. Have mounted all rollers but have not tested yet.

by:

L shaped rollers are good quality and easy to install. Recommend. Perfect fit on my 16 ' Shore line roller bed trailer. I fish on the Mississippi and it works great to help guide the boat on when there is current working against you at boat landing.

The roller guides are good quality. It was very easy to install. They are just what you need on a windy day in Wisconson to guide the boat unto trailer.

by:

Just what was described. Not cheap or thin metal. Good quality parts. I’ll be buying from you guys again when I need it.

by:

Easy to mount, easy to adjust. No more off center on the trailer

by:

We installed them the day we received them not sure what to expect, but we were excited. We took out the boat the following weekend, when it was time to load up our boat we got ready. My wife, with minimal experience, was in charge of the task. She lined it up and voila, easy with no problem at all. We definitely recommend these roller guide-ons.

After a year of having our guides they have worked great. It makes loading up our boat very easy, every time. We have our daughters loading up the boat now and they are doing it with out a problem.

by:

Purchased boat trailer roller guides for our aluminum fishing boat/trailer. Product was delivered in less than anticipated time. Product was delivered as advertised. While I have not yet had time to install the product, all of the necessary hardware was included and simple instructions appear to make installation easy and fast. I expect that the roller system will simplify the loading of our boat (centering on boat keel rollers) under all conditions and permit one person operation.

The installation was quite easy and took less than one hour. The roller system has greatly improved the loading of our Alumacraft fishing boat. Under all conditions the rollers center the boat on the trailer and permit loading in one attempt aligning the keel of the watercraft exactly where it belongs. We no longer have to spend time at the launch site loading and reloading the boat when wind and wave conditions require two men and three oxen to keep the stern properly lined up. Great product!

by:

Nice, sturdy product. Easy to install. Very pleased.

by:

These guides have worked really well. In my perfect world, they would be a little bit longer but they are doing the job of helping guide the boat onto the trailer when I am loading.

by:

just installed but havent tested yet. pretty stout rollers and should help fight back against the tides here in florida. cant wait for maiden voyage!!!

by:

Love them. Makes loading a boat by myself very easy. I have confidence that loading at the ramp in any weather will be a snap.

by:

I really like our new Guide-ons for our boat trailer. These were simple to install and been very durable. Overall very pleased with the product

by:

good quality, no sharp edges easy to install , I couldn't wait to get home to put them on ,they look good , I just ordered some lights to put on them ,So I am waiting to get them before I put the caps on top of the tubing

by:

Great service and great product.

by:

I damaged one of the side rollers recently on my boat trailer so I ordered a new set from you. I am very impressed with the quick delivery and of course with the quality of products that you sell. This is the third time I have or from your company thank you

I am so happy to hear that, David! Glad we have been able to come through for you :)

by:

Have mounted the rollers on the trailer of our 14’ aluminum runabout’s trailer and am looking forward to a dramatically improved launch and recover opportunity when we next use the boat(wind or no wind). Should have installed these years ago.

by:

I need to fit this product to my 1960 vintage Holsclaw trailer. I had ordered the longer guide units but found they wouldn't work because of the style of the trailer and having to center the keel of the boat to the main beam roller at the back. Since they extend above the gunnel of the boat and the gunnel being wider at the front of the boat then at the transom, proper alignment to the center beam roller was impossible. I needed a guide that positioned on the spray rail rather than the gunnel. I think this roller will work perfectly once I locate the boat back a few inches on the trailer. Thanks for all your help. I think I will be able to load my boat alone.

by:

These guides are heavy duty and really nice! The U Bolts are also heavy duty and hold the guides rock solid on my Tee Nee Trailers 1 1/2"x 3 1/2" frame! I really wanted roller guides taller than 15", but found they really measure 21" from the botttom of the guide to the top of the roller! Mounted mine on top of the frame for an extra 1 1/2" of height giving me 21". Very happy and so glad I found your website! Thank you etrailer.com! I will be back!

by:

These rollers are awesome! The perfect solution to my problem. I have a 16' Gheenoe and there was an issue loading my boat. As I am a paralyzed vet trying to load the boat by myself from a wheelchair on the ramp. There was too much room from the rear guides to the front of the trailer in which the boat could drift left or right before I got it positioned.
These rollers help guide her on and keep it going straight. I can now load/unload like a pro. Now if only etrailer could help me catch fish.....

by:

One of the easiest installs imaginable. Have not been wind- or current tested yet.

A lifesaver! I frequently fish solo and these have repeatedly proven themselves to assist me in trailering in crosswinds or currents. They keep the stern of the boat from moving sideways, thus allowing it to stay centered on my bunks.

by:

These work great on my 13’ aluminum boat! Especially on windy days.

by:

Totally awesome, quick delivery & easy installation really like installation videos trailer has with parts and supplies they offer!

by:

These guide-ons were a little small for my 22 foot boat and trailer. I was only able to get them to install in one spot. Look at the dimensions shown and measure carefully. Otherwise, the quality seems good.

  • How Much Can CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons be Adjusted?
The CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers # CE27610 measure 17-1/2 inches horizontally. It mounts on 3 inch frames and roughly 3 inches of it is a portion which cannot be adjusted to so you will have approximately 11-1/2 inches that you will be able to adjust the guide-ons.
