How Close to the Boat Should CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons Be to a Boat on a Trailer
Updated 09/22/2015 | Published 09/21/2015 >
Question:
How much clearance do you need between the boat and the side guide on roller?
asked by: Allen
Expert Reply:
You will want the boat to be close to touching the rollers on the CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons # CE27610. Since the guide-ons are not meant to support weight you will want to place them so that they are fairly close to the boat but not too far. This is because the guide-ons are meant to help you line up the boat with the trailer better than if they weren't present. If the guide-ons are too far apart it gets harder to determine where the center point between them is. Other than that there is no specific distance they have to be from the boat.
