Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2017 Ford Escape with LED Lights
Published 02/22/2018 >
Question:
I have a 2017 Ford Excape and I am wanting to wire it up to my trailer that has led lights on it. Can this be a direct hookup with out using a converter? I would like to know what wiring harness you would recommend. Thank you,

If your 2017 Ford Escape does not have the factory tow package, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56320. This custom-fit harness will install by connecting to the built-in ports located behind the driver and passenger side tail lights. You will then run the red hot lead up to the Escape's battery.
This harness will work with the LED lights on both your vehicle and trailer. The included converter will still be needed for your Escape to safeguard its delicate wiring while also providing enough power for the trailer lights.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can also take a look at.
