Question:

Hello, I just installed a Curt 56320 custom wiring harness on my 2019 Ford Escape. I have running lights, brake lights, right turn signal however the left blinks quickly and the right blinks at the same time. I have a 2017 Shorelander boat trailer. It looks like the tail lights are LED. Could this be causing the problem? I had a 2017 Escape I removed the Tekonosha harness from and installed with the same issue but on the right rather than the left. I figured the module was bad so I ordered a new Curt one. Now with the brand new Curt harness I have this issue on the left side turn signal.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56320 has not as of 05/2019 been confirmed to fit your vehicle. It is very possible that the LED lights are the issue, but because we don't have a confirmed fit wiring harness I can't give you a confirmed answer.

If it were me, I'd first check the ground connection on the trailer near the tongue and then at the tail lights which is normally though the mounting hardware if there isn't a separate wire. Make sure those ground points are bare metal to metal on your trailer using a little sandpaper to confirm. If that doesn't solve your issue, the next thing I'd tray is the load resistors # DI34ZR on the turn signal wires. If the issue is the LED lights on your trailer, this will solve it.
