For your 2018 Ford Escape without factory tow package I recommend the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56320 because Curt has a better reputation with customers for their wiring harnesses over the competition. This harness will simply plug into the factory wiring connections behind your tail lights. Once installed you then will run the included power wire up to the battery. I've attached an installation video to assist as well as an article to help with routing the power wire.
