Best ST205/75R14 Trailer Tires And Spare Wheel For Cargo Trailer Primarily Carrying ATVs/Motorcycles

Updated 07/07/2021 | Published 07/05/2021

Question:

I need two tires for this trailer trailer pic included The tire size on it is ST205/75R14. I will normally be using for towing a mid size ATV or motorcycle or both. I will be using it on trips with freeway speeds and also mountain dirt roads with washboard bumps I live in Colorado. Once in awhile I may have to use it to transport a couple pallets of Food Pantry supplies with weight ranging from 1000lbs to maybe 1500lbs Max. Also I need an extra wheel or rim for a spare if you have that.

I would be happy to make a recommendation on ST205/75R14 tires and a spare wheel and tire for your trailer.

For tires I recommend the Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # AM10235 which are a high quality tire in the size you need. These tires have an 81MPH speed rating which will be perfect for highway driving while still working on dirt roads, and a 2200lb load rating at 75 PSI for when you need to carry a heavy load like the pallets for the Food Pantry you mentioned. You will need to check the load rating of your wheels and use the lower rating between the tires and wheels.

For a spare wheel and tire I recommend the Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 14" White Spoke Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D # AM32161 which is the same tire as the one mentioned above, but includes a white wheel to match the wheels currently on your trailer.

I am not sure how the inside of your trailer looks but a great option to mount a spare tire on a cargo trailer is the Rack'em Spare Tire Rack for Enclosed Trailers # RA-16 which will mount the tire to the wall out of the way.

I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
