Features to know about

Keep the Front End Level and Confident: 3,000-lb Suspension Support

Heavy front loads like slide-outs or cargo can cause sag and throw off steering control. These SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs deliver up to 3,000 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and balanced. They work with your factory suspension to smooth out bumps, absorb shock, and help maintain proper headlight aim and traction for safer handling when loaded.

Smooth Ride On or Off the Road: 2-Piece Design with Unlimited Travel

The 2-piece spring setup connects at the top and bottom but separates when unloaded, allowing full suspension travel for a comfortable ride on rough terrain. When weight is added, the pieces come together to add firm support. This design keeps the suspension flexible when empty while still providing solid front-end stability when carrying heavy loads.

Progressive Load Control That Adapts to Weight

These springs automatically adjust stiffness as you add weight. Light loads compress softly for smooth engagement and a comfortable ride, while heavier loads push them up to 80 percent compression for strong support. The result is a steady, predictable feel whether you’re driving light or fully loaded.

Stay Steady in Crosswinds and Turns: Independent Spring Action

Each spring works independently to balance uneven loads and reduce body roll in sharp turns or side winds. That means better cornering control and less rocking when pulling into uneven spots or during quick steering inputs.

Built Tough to Handle Real Conditions

Made from durable microcellular urethane, these springs resist abrasion, oils, road salts, and UV rays while performing in temperatures from -25 F to 200 F. They expand and compress vertically with minimal sideways movement so nearby components stay safe. The kit includes two jounce-style springs with hardware for easy bolt-on installation and needs no air pressure or maintenance once installed.

These helper springs made an amazing difference in the stability and ride comfort in our coach. Improved cornering and bounce control were immediately apparent. Plus, crosswind driving is much improved. The split design makes leveling easy as I typically raise the front of the coach rather than the rear. Installation is a lot of work, but can be done yourself with the right equipment. Very pleased.

This product helped with dipping of the front cab on ramps and better control of front end

My Sumo springs have made driving so much less stressful on my gas class A. Only put on the front but has eliminated most of the side to side rocking and has helped with general driving.

still working great

Outstanding product! Bought the front and rear sets and had my younger brothers install them for me. They do wonder!! I can now take turns without feeling like the rig is about to flip. Much more stable ride and totally worth the money spent. I just need a rear sway bar and my coach will be as good as a diesel….

My 2007 Allegro Bay on an F53 chassis had a real tendency to bob and weave on crooked roads and in windy weather. The Sumo Springs removed virtually all the instability. The coach handles much better and I am not as fatigued at the end of the day.

After a year of driving 3500 miles with the Sumo Springs on the front of my 2005 Georgie Boy class A motor home I am somewhat disappointed. Yes they where easy to install. Yes they did help with body roll in a turn. But my issue is they did not help much with the violent bump when hitting potholes or bridge to road transitions on the major highways. I was hoping to get a much smother ride. And yes all the factory shocks have been replaced with Koni shocks.

  • Best Suspension Upgrades For 2007 Gulf Stream Independence 22,000 GVWR on Ford Chassis
Hey Jaran, Great questions, and regarding the anti-sway bars, I definitely recommend upgrading to a larger size. When it comes to anti-sway bars on motorhomes like your Gulf Stream, bigger is definitely better. The larger the diameter of bar, the higher the roll stiffness it gives you, and that's the most important aspect of handling sway. The rear anti-sway bar is the best upgrade, followed by the front anti-sway bar, and then steering stabilizer for added control in the heavy crosswinds....

  • Sway Bars that Fit 2006 Damon Daybreak 3276 to Improve Handling
Since your 2006 Damon Daybreak 3276 is built on a Ford chassis with a 20,500 lb GVWR the correct rear sway bar is the part # RM-1139-143. This will do a really good job getting rid of the sway and keeping the motorhome on the road without requiring over corrections. To help with the bumps and also improve handling the SumoSprings part # SSF-171-40-2 would be what you'd want for the front and then # SSR-187-54-1 for the rear.
