Reduced axle sag with Timbren suspension enhancement

Just like the rear of your vehicle will sag under the weight of a fully loaded bed, the front of your vehicle will sag when under the burden of heavy equipment such as a snowplow. In this case, the front axle is handling not only the weight of the equipment, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Overall vehicle handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.

Install diagrams of Timbren hollow rubber springs

The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above your front axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down so that the bottom of each spring touches the axle. Because each spring is making constant contact with the axle, it is always working to cushion and support your factory suspension.

Animation of a standard Timbren rubber spring

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.

Timbren suspension system works to prevent body roll

Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's-side or passenger's-side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you're carrying off-center loads.

A snowplow mounted to the front of the truck will require extra suspension support for the front axle.

Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System will help raise the front end of your vehicle when you're using heavy equipment like a snowplow. This ensures that your headlight beams will be pointed in the right direction and tire wear will be reduced. If the plow is off-center or has an extension, the springs will automatically compensate for this as well.

An empty truck on a bumpy road without Timbren

Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.

Timbren Suspension Enhancement Compared to the Competition

Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. More elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

Best investment for suspension so far!! Had wind, semi’s and large dips in road sway our 2015 Bounder all over the road. With the timbrens installed took care of almost all of that! Big dips, Bounce one time, done. Semi’s pass no issue, Wyoming winds cuts right through!

Comments
They are still working great! Purchased front and rear pair.

I installed there on my 2020 Holiday Rambler Vacationer 35K. I’m very pleased with the way it handles now. It rides smoother and handles corners much better than it did stock. Installation was easy and took about an hour. Thanks etrailer for help ordering and fast delivery.

This is the number one item you should buy if you own a Class A motorhome . It did away with 90 percent of sway in my rig ! It is now fun to drive ! Only about 1 and a half hours to install in my driveway .

I would have given 5 stars, but it is difficult to get a socket on the frame/ to bracket mounting bolt. I would suggest a cutout/ scallop on the mounting bracket to facilitate installation. Now for the road test.

I think this product is amazing. I took my RV to the shop near my home because my RV was swinging side by side whenever an 18 wheeler passed next to me or just with the strong winds I was having difficulties controlling the steering wheel. At the shop, they installed the rear one but I want all of them. They told me that they only have the rear one and they will need to back order the front ones. They also told me that this company is overseas. They told me they're very expensive and I asked how much they told me $554.00 each one and $240 each for the installation. Right there that was $1588.00 this is without the front one because they did not have it. I left my RV at the shop I did my homework searching on the internet and I know about etrailer because I bought some stuff there before. I found them and I saw the price so I printed them out and show the shop owner the cost and I also told him they are very easy to install and they provide instructional videos. I did not argue or claim anything to him. In my mind I was thinking let see if this works on my behalf psychologically. I ordered the front one took about 4-5 days to get shipped to my home for free. I took the front timbren to the shop, the installed it and he charged me only $625.00 without arguing or claiming anything just his conscious works on my behalf. $625.00 included the rear one he provided, installing the front ones that I provided, and fixing the light in my RV the high beam light. The conclusion now he knows that etrailer has them for any RV and he said for now on he is going to get them from eTrailer. I also told him there are from MO. not overseas. He asked me for the website. I am very happy with the product today is a very windy and cold day here in Baker, FL and on my way back home from the shop several 18 wheelers passed me coming from the opposite direction on a two lanes road, and my RV steady like a rock, minimal effort on the steering wheel. etrailer prices are reasonable, free shipping, nice and attentive personnel, they are a US company and they're fast on the delivery. I got my package from UPS. Thank you. I love this company and they are not paying me a penny but I don't care when you're good you deserve the credits. I don't have photos, for now, is too cold for me to get under the RV. I owed you this one.

Installed Timbren on the front and Sumo on the rear at the same time. Not sure which one did the most good but together the handling of the RV was improved a hundred fold. Would do it again for sure.

2017 Ford F-53

I installed the front and rear Timbrens on my 2017 Georgetown GT5 class A. The installation was pretty easy, except for the tight areas getting the wrenches on the bolts. The front passenger side used the original bolt to install on my frame. Installation took about two hours to complete the front and back. It would be quicker if you use power tools, but I wasn't in any hurry. I've driven on two trips now with them, and they made a noticeable improvement on the rocking sideways back and forth. The motor home seems a lot more settled now with wind and traffic.

Comments
Its been a year now owning the Timbrens on my RV. and they are holding up great and work great on stopping the rocking back and forth. I recommend them to anyone whos considering upgrading their suspension.

Great jounce type rubber springs and cheaper than the "other brand". Easy install too. I had these on in about an hours time tops! They make the ride more stable and ends a lot of that wheel jump when hitting road cracks, pot holes, bridge seams, etc. Less wheel shack. I put these on the front of my F-53 chassis and Thor Ace Motor Home. Worked out well and does what it is intended to do. My. only wish was that this style of unit would fit the rear of my F-53.

Great service and very fast delivery. It took about 20 minutes to install. The video help in gathering all the right tools one time. Getting ready for a road trip and we will see what improvements it does. The stops rest on the spring so it should take the sway out. I did notice when someone was walking on the floor that the stops did have some give in them. Thanks Korren for great service that you provide.

Placed on front and rear, this was only upgrade I performed on Holiday Rambler 35k, greatly improved handling, mainly what I call nose dive, less sway going down road, suspension bounces less when hit big dips

Reviewed with the vent covers I purchased. I would highly recommend adding these or other suspension products especially for Class A. I chose the Timbren because I could install them without taking the tires off and without drilling any additional holes in the chassis.

The biggest difference between the two for your 2019 Thor ACE 30.2 motorhome, and the reason why I highly recommend the SumoSprings over the Timbren, is what each product is constructed from. The Timbrens are made from a strong, rigid rubber while the SumoSprings are made from microcellular urethane.
