Best Option for Sway Control on 2023 Ford F-350 Towing 5th Wheel

Updated 01/01/2026 | Published 12/24/2025

Question:

I have a 2023 F350 SRW 4X4 and was wondering if the Hellwig rear sway bar or the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit be the best option to reduce sway While towing my 5th wheel RV. I have already installed Timbren to help with squat. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey Russ! The Hellwig Adjustable Big Wig Rear Anti-Sway Bar # HE94FR is definitely the way to go. The SuperSprings # SS62FR will help but they're better for additional support and you already have the Timbren SES on there. The Hellwig anti-sway bar is going to add a lot of stability and really cut down on the sway you have been experiencing so it is the best option.

What kind of 5th wheel do you have?

It is very easy to install, I personally thought it made a huge difference, just my 2 cents

Russ, I have a 2020 F250 with Timbrens. I added the Hellwig sway bar to help with the high center of gravity truckcamper (~2500 lbs). I have approx 18000 miles with the truckcamper and the Hellwig sway bar has been fantastic in virtually illuminating any body roll. Not sure of the benefits you will get towing a 5th wheel, but for me it was money well spent.

I have a 2024 Ford F-350 Crew Cab dually and I keep a 5,000lb truck camper in it 24/7/365. The truck came with a rear sway bar but it wasn't very beefy, so I swapped it out with a Big Wig. Yes, it made a big difference in the sway and control of the truck. I liked it so much that a few months later I installed a Big Wig FRONT sway bar. I should have done it when I installed the rear sway bar; oh well, lesson learned.

@RussR try… https://www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/SuperSprings-Intl/SS75GR.html And these… https://www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/TorkLift/TL89CR.html I installed the hellwig, the super springs, and the torklift, stuff on my ‘22 f250 tremor. It now hauls my lance 805 cabover, like it’s not even there. Squat, and sway all but completely eliminate. No need for air bags, pumps or compressors. And doesn’t affect the ride when not engaged. Got all of it from etrailer. They were awesome to do business with.
