Replace your worn strut that won't hold a heavy lid open with this 15" gas strut rated at 90 lbs. It keeps the lid open while you're accessing larger or heavier stored items without it dropping.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV Designer gas strut. So this is a gas strut that's kind of like a support arm that you see holding things up like your RV doors, truck caps and storage compartments. Its main job is to make opening and closing smoother, safer, and a whole lot easier. This is built to last. It does have a durable black finish on it.
And then, retrieving my tape measure here, measuring center of socket to center of socket, as you can see, we're sitting at 15 inches and this is going to give you about 90 pounds of lifting force, and that's gonna help take some of the weight off when you lift something like a cargo door or bed platform. Instead of slamming it shut, the strut's gonna control the movement so it opens easily and closes in a more controlled way. And this is gonna be a straightforward installation. This is just going to attach to your current ball studs, and this does not include that, so you'll just reuse your ball studs. But I think it's gonna wrap up our look today.
Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
