When your truck squats under a heavy trailer or bed load, steering and braking can feel off. The LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs provide up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity so the truck stays level front to back. The air bags take stress off the rear suspension, maintain safe headlight aim, and keep handling predictable when hauling cargo or towing.
Uneven pavement or rough roads can cause bounce and sway that wear you out fast. Each air spring in this setup has a closed-cell urethane jounce spring inside that engages when air pressure isn’t enough to support the load. The jounce absorbs bumps and road shock while reducing sway and bottoming out. It reacts progressively—the more you load it, the stiffer it becomes—so your ride stays stable and smooth even on rough terrain.

Every haul is different, so it helps to have control. You can dial in air pressure anywhere from 5 psi to 100 psi to match how much weight you’re carrying. Inflate both springs evenly for level towing or adjust them independently for side-to-side leveling when cargo sits off center. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included for straightforward setup, and the system is compatible with onboard compressors if you want in-cab control later.
This system is made to handle real work without leaks or corrosion getting in the way. The 2-ply fabric-reinforced rubber air springs are backed by high-strength Zytel nylon endcaps that are lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates protect each spring from moving parts under the truck while extending service life. Urethane internal jounces need no maintenance and perform consistently in hot or cold weather.

Installing these helper springs doesn’t require special tools or a lift bay. The kit comes with brackets, hardware, air lines, and manual valves so you can mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. Valves typically install on the bumper for easy access, or wherever fits best for your setup. Once installed, you’ll have reliable suspension support that adjusts easily whenever your load changes.

Product works great and helps level the truck during towing. I have noticed a difference in the amount of travel my back wheels have when offloading. But I knew that would be a sacrifice.

Happy to hear these are getting the job done! Your set up looks great, and man! What a beautiful picture. Blue, sunny skies, green grass, a cool breeze (I'd wager) perfect day to hitch up the trailer and get some work done!

Been great! I really don’t like the internal jounce stops though. When you are unloaded and running lower bag pressure, a dip or bump will hit the bump stops really hard and jar your passengers in the backseat. It’s almost too uncomfortable to ride in the backseat now. As for the loaded and high pressure performance it’s great! Great handling and no sag at all when towing.

Install looks fantastic Lloyd! Glad to hear they helped with the side to side movement. What kind of trailer are you going to be towing with the new set-up? Fun camper, work trailer?

What all did you end up having to do to the brackets to get them to fit, if you don't mind sharing?

Glad to hear you are keeping air in there when not in use Bradley! Are you always going to the same place on those 700 mile trips?

This product has been holding up in the Midwest climate. We have used it several times for hauling our camper. The bags are still in great shape.
